Well, I just got back test driving. They said they can only go as low as 25, basically 2k off sticker. The car was very clean, some pits in the hood (which had been covered by touch up paint, noticeable however, and the aluminum trim by the shift/center console was slightly knicked up, no big deal, however tried using them as bargaining chips) He said their bottom price was 25 so i said alright and left. I was hoping to get to a max of 24k, but will hold off and see if the car sells.

Do you guys have any tips or any strategy for what i should go about doing in contacting?

I don't know, I drive a hard bargain but Peabody didn't want to deal. I talked to Alex Dytko there, he's a sponsor on Bimmerfest, but he didn't move much. In this economy you are even more in the driver's seat. Check to see what similar spec'd cars have gone for in Manheim auctions recently to get an idea of what you should pay.

Congrats~

By the way, what GP Thunders did you order? Since you have a E90 sedan, you need a E90 LED angel eye kit for the angel eyes.

The H8 GP is only for the coupe or E90 M3.

thats a good deal, I also bought my CPO'd 330i from BMW of Peabody. Some of the SA's are idiots but, for the most part its a good dealership. Negotiate everything, they will try to sell you on 5yr. rim protection, extended maintenance, etc. Everything is marked up so keep that in mind. Haven't had any problems with my 330i(60k) besides updated door handles, and passenger seat airbag sensor. I would not recommend them washing your car when you bring it in for scheduled service.

My take on BMW Peabody:

1. My CA is awesome. I gave him so much trouble and he didn't said a word about it.

2. The service department at 114 is not that great, even the CAs recommend going to Centennial Dr for service

3. I have had two SAs at Centennial with vastly different experience.

a. The first was Kay. She doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable and when I brought my car in for them to fix the dynamic headlights. She claimed that the tech could not program / did not know how to program the dynamic cornering module. I ended up finding a coded module and had them replace it. Since then, I have Bavarian Performance Group service my E90 until I traded it in for the E92. I think she would be a good SA if you are not a car nut and not into mods at all.

b. Second was Dave Buchnan. He's AWESOME. Hands down the best SA I have interacted with. My E92 suffered from some initial electrical gremlins including a blown fuse in the comfort access / remote access module, and a blown gateway. It took them quite a while to figure out where the fault is coming from, but they did. I'll go back to him for the 1200 mile M service.

4. The Centennial Dr service location is really nice. They offer bottled water, coke, coffee, and hot chocolate for free and have large space for you to work + free WIFI.

5. The "Spa" as they call it, sucks at washing / detailing cars. My M3's paint looked so bad when I picked it up. They have no idea how to detail a car. I'll probably take it to Rick for paint correction when it stops snowing.

But, I got there, they took the keys and went and looked through it and in the meantime, I took an 07 328xi for a test drive, looked at some 5s, walked through the Porsche dealership (gah!), etc... They did me some courtesy at the end of the day.

It was just the wasting of my time. If all you're gonna do is read from a book, and not be interested in my business, do it on the phone... Don't insist I come there.
If you start doing business by phone you open the door to people playing phone games. There's a reason salespeople will no give numbers over the phone. Many people just aren't serious.

You can tell Kay is getting tired of dealing with customers, she isn't a car enthusiast and she didn't impress me at all. Only after my friend who works at Acura of Peabody(same owners of BMW of Peabody) swung by the dealership was I able to get things accomplished. Multiple times I have made trips to the Centennial and wasted 4 hours while they figure out that they ordered the wrong part or couldn't fix the problem at all.

Not to belabor the point, but I understand that, I went there, they wasted *MY* time. I get that they need to *see* the car, only they didn't actually *look at* the car when I demonstrated my interest by going there.

They simply weren't interested in my business, that's ok, their loss.

Yeah, you probably saw my post about the mess the "SPA" made on my car.

I took it to Rick and he did a fantastic job and my car looks like new again.
