Location is a factor as well

Age 27, 08 328i, full coverage, 0 ded, 6* protector, all the bs basically, about $160 a month at bel air direct

One car is all that is on the policy

For quotes try:
- bel air direct
- kanetix
- insurancehotline
- td melloce monnex if you qualify
- johnson.ca - can be dirt cheap is your over 28 and have clean record

there is so much variety in the above, you will likely find your "best" rate

well, i could try. all the age discounts start after 45 yrs old, best discounts apply to drivers 55-64 i believe.

if you say you drive under 16,000 km a year with no commute (eg. taking the bus to work) you are a class 1, which give you a lower rate.

driving up to 24,000 km with no commute or up to 24km commute will give you a class 2. if you say you commute 8km and under you get a short commute discount.

the above rules typically go with mostly all insurance companies. for the short commute discount with some its 6km others 8km or 10km...it varies. so if you want to get away with it just say you drive 15,000km a year and take the bus to work!

you get a discount for being conviction free over the past 3 years (15% discount) if you have a conviction you lose the discount, 2 convictions you get a 10% surcharge.

the type of brokerage that greypower is constructed (call center) we dont have the ability to flex prices (give our own discounts) although over time it might change.

best prices apply if you bring your home over as well (15% discount added to your auto)

for younger drivers like myself id suggest bel air. im 20 (turning 21 in may) im a 2 star driver (too lazy to get my G and go up to a 4 star) with 1 conviction. primary driver on the 335i my price is 340 a month. if you tell them you have winter tires they give you a discount too!

as for grey power from a customer service standpoint...lets just say i didnt switch my parents insurance over there. if customer service is important, state farm would be my recommendation.

belair would save me about 40 bucks/month. I'd switch over but then, belair had this stupid 10~15 days application process time. It was just so much easier and cheaper in BC : ( one insurance company FTW.

I once had a friend over and he lives around the corner from me, and for fun we punched in our postal code for each of our house and my insurance was $500 more per year than his, simply due to postal code!!
my insurance is about $2100 per year, his about $1700 per year.

~200/month with State Farm, but I have business insurance, so it's more expensive than regular.

If anyone knows other insurance companies that offer business insurance that is cheaper I'd appreciate it. I was paying $130/month under personal.
