I have these and they were not plug and play for me. They look sick though I had to cut open the backs of the lights and play with different resistors\capacitors to get them to work. They are working fine now I have them in smoke. Sorry for the bad caera phone pic.

But IMHO, they're not as nice as #3, which don't have that awkward red surround around the turn signal part.

Take care about the delay between the 3rd brake light and the depo brake taillights, it is about 0.5 second, under my point of view is too much and dangerous.
Sorry Iīm speaking about the DEPO full led e90 tailights version. |

Both the 3rd brake light and the depo brake lights are LED's and as such, should be instant on. So, does this mean that there is no speed advantage to the LED brake lights over OEM brake lights with incandescent bulbs? With my LED tail lights from JLeviSW, the LED brake lights are instant on - just as fast as the 3rd brake light. I wonder, if Depo somehow didn't get the circuitry right on their model...

I don't think the 2nd light will look good on the car cuz it has that red frame that's gonna go between the white signal light and the white reverse light on the trunk

Agreed. That's why we're anxiously awaiting for diablo to receive and install #3!

It does seem to be a problem with their circuitry. For mine, the black box is in parallel with the leds, I would guess that for some reason Depo put it in series, thus unfortunately introducing a delay.

Hey all just picked up some Depo's like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-0...3A1|240%3A1318) but with the red bits painted silver by JLeviSW. Not sure if I can have install'd pics up soon but if I can earliest would be sometime Sat/Sun. I'll keep you all posted as to how they look, if you'd like, unless someone has already created a separate thread for these depos...

I would stick with OEM blacklines. They aren't that much more $ wise and they won't throw codes or have problems functioning. Ebay is great for items such as lip spoilers and fake pedal sets. Once you get into lighting and other things I'd stick with OEM or major brand names. All of the Depo listings tout that they are manufacturers of OEM parts (or something to that effect). Well if that was so then the lights would work and be plug and play.

There are real DEPO and there is FAKE DEPO.
The first one is a FAKE from CHINA - BAVARIANx The second one is also a FAKE. - Unknown Source The third one is LEGIT DEPO. - Japanese Seller I've seen these in Japan, and China last time I went back. They're around only 120$ Canadian a pair. The Legit DEPO one is around $200.00 CAD, and uses Nichia LED Technology. Put your money in the right place. OEM or LEGIT DEPO. |

To clarify, the E90 LED's on our site ARE NOT DEPO. The LED products are by Eagle Eye or other manufacturers. We have not found any of the DEPO LED lamps that do not throw codes in US spec vehicles. All of our non-LED lamps ARE authentic DEPO like the e90 blackline style tails:

Most of their stuff is straight out of China. If you get the one that looks like the second, your in for a fake depo. Your best bet is to call DEPO itself and ask them to confirm part numbers and who are their authorized dealers are. In Japan, there is another company that makes LED Technology products for BMW e90's however, it is very limited and not accessible in the north american market. The legit led products for BMW that are made in japan, all use HIGH grade Nichia LED technology. Quote:

FYI... depo is a taiwanese company and their products are manufactured there. www.depo.com.tw
they've been manufacturing aftermarket and replacement lighting products for quite a while now. they're not always known for having quality stuff.

I'm waiting for Nick at JLeviSW to explain how exactly to install them properly given that I have a one piece connector... I am now pretty sure that they may not be legit DEPO, but I only paid about $200 for them. Does anyone have any other recommendations? How can I get in touch with DEPO to find out if the part numbers on them match with real parts? Or should I drop them and I go with the other ones JLeviSW (or someone else) advertises? They will definitely come out more expensive... about $100 more so for the full LED, which is what I'd do. Any recommendations?
