Congrats! You should get an order confirmation that has the production order number on it. You can begin tracking with that number. Call your CA if you don't have it yet. The wait is already brutal... and mine hasn't even shipped yet.

If you ordered with your CA, he/she would give you the vehicle production number that you can call the 800 number to check the status. You'd have to have confirmation that it was ordered first tho......

Just got a call back from the dealership. They did have it on order, I have the prod # and called the 800#. "Scheduled for production, no confirmed date". The dealer said that once it is recognized as "sold" it will jump up in the production date.

Congrats Jef4y!! It's an excruciating wait... especially once you know the car has finished production and just waiting to get across the pond!

You could possibly end up with an addiction to the 800 number like me...

That is no joke. I probably call that number 4-5 times per day, knowing that there won't be a change that often. Realizing the problem is the first step to recovery.....

Still waiting too! My production/completion dates are pretty much the same as you guys... Kills me that it's been done for over a week and STILL sitting there. I thought it was a no-brainer that it would be in my driveway before the end of the month, now I'm not so sure. Lets GO!!

But you're east coast.. so I expect you to take delivery before me! My CA informed me it takes about 5-7 days to reach good ol' Tejas.

Yup - five days here too, according to my CA.

So, if it ships in the next day or two, Albino and I will probably take delivery the week of 6/29. Chumley, you may see it late the week of 6/22.

Of course, if it doesn't sail in the next day or two....

Hopefully it is already cruising towards the Atlantic and the info isn't updated yet.

I would hope it would. Even if we "just missed" the last boat, there would have to be at least 7, maybe close to 10 days worth of production since.

Although prior month's sales are not totally meaningful, BMW sold a bit over 18,000 cars here last month so you would think that much production time would warrant a full ship ready to go...

put in the order joey!! the wait is pretty excruciating....especially when you KNOW for sure that your car has finished production.. but it's all part of the package deal! what are you thinking about getting?

I wish i'd seen this thread earlier. Good to have others to share the excruciating wait with. I ordered mine (335 coupe) on May 18th. The lovely automated 800 number lady is telling me that is has been released to the carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit.

I've read somewhere that there are different VPCs for west coast and east coast vehicles. Anyone know about that? Mine is coming all the way to Washington State. aargh.

Feel your pain buddy. I want to say that there are different ships/shipping lines for east vs. west coast?? Did some researching on the ship tracking sticky... but didn't really come up with anything solid (I'm in Texas.. most of the responses are either for NY/NJ area or Cali). My best bet is to wait for the CA to let me know what ship my vehicle is on and start hunting her down that way.

Good to know dpratt and I aren't the only "crazy" ones in the wait.
