Wow I guess I have been lucky! My only "bad" violation is 85 on 65 zone, got 4 points and $167 ticket. The cop said he followed me for a while and I was driving over 90 but he gave me the ticket for 85.
I paid, got my points, did not go to court. It has slowed me down though! I don't drive 85-95 anymore as my normal cruising speed. At least not on that road Apart from that I have one ticket from a speeding camera ($50), no points. Well I am moving back to Finland this summer and back there speeding ticket is based on your taxable income. My 20 mph over would have cost me easily $1500 there, or more. And I would have lost my license for 3-6 months.

I call BS on this. Unless you are literally a police officer or a direct relative of one I don't know how you could get away with that.

The specifics aren't really any of your concern. Why would I lie, to impress you?

7:30AM southbound on NJ tpk, right by newark where it splits up to 14A-b-c-d, sped up to meet up with Scott and HyperM3 to head to philly, and blew right past a cop with the foot to the floor in 6th. I pulled over right away, and fed the cop a crazy story about how my friend just broke up with his girl and he was having crazy ass thoughts about him not wantin to live anymore, so I was rushing down to his place to make sure he didnt do anything stupid. Cop took it, I got a warning. I had a friend in the dept find out his address and I sent him a nice bottle of scotch for lettin me go, cuse I was up the previous night in the city getting hammered, was still a bit buzzed when I was flying, so I really could have had a shit day(s) if that guy hauled me in. |

Whatever you say pal. I've been on this board for a long time. I can't see why I'd start making up stories now.

Been stopped twice in my lifetime
1) in Georgia about close to 10 years ago (damn that made me feel old)- I was late for a class in college. Doing 65 in a 35 ($80) but I deserved it cause I was acting like an ass blew right by him-he was in the grassy medium in plain view. So Yeah chalk that one up to youthful stupidity 2) in California few years back for going 75 in a 55 in so-so weather conditions ($280) coming home early for being ill, all in all I knew I was speeding so I didn't fight it.. just thought to myself "oh lord, this is goin to hurt the wallet--time to BOHICA with the insurance rate" Guess it all comes down to being humble.....When you're wrong-just admit it..in the long run saving a few dollars and not being zapped by the bacon is not worth it

96 in a 65. Got out of it with a careless driving ticket. A fine of only 80 bucks. The cop told me that in NJ, if you get a ticket going over 90, you get your license taken away for 30 days. I thanked god that didnt happen.

179 in 25 MPH School zone with yellow lights flashing in my dad's Carrera 4s. Out ran the pig who was hanging out of his car with his radar gun and then I broke the golden rule from he Matrix: I merged onto the highway. I couldn't out run the radio
Any way - I saw the spike strip set up, so I slammed on the brakes and parked it in front of the trooper's cars. They were mad, but I just got a verbal warning. I did a sobriety test (at 4:00 PM and passed - I was being stupid, not drunk) and they let me go! If you believe my story then there is something wrong with you.

1. 80 in a 30 in Brooklyn. Also crossed a solid line to overtake a car.
The cop caught up to me when I stopped to drop my friend home. No clue he was behing me. Got a wreckless driving ticket. End result $400 fine and 0 points. 2. Ungodly speeds on the turnpike going to six flags with my friend in his G35. Other drivers reported us to the cops. Saw a police barracks sign so started to brake and there he was sitting on the overpass. Pulled my friend over for tailgating and sent another car to follow me. My friend had a PBa card and got off with a warning. I got nothing. |

Any get away stories? Here's one.... A undisclosed friend of mine whom I don't know at all because it's deff. not me was travelling at a high rate of speed on the back roads one day (+- 120 mph) andd just happened to come upon a trooper coming past him heading in the opposite direction with some light traffic. Upon seeing the troopa slam on his brakes he slammed the little pedal to the metal in his V8 powered German made BMW 540 sport (nothing special), and blowing at 140 mph the troopa had no chance. Ended up taking the first street coming out of the woods and he hid behind a house and just heard the faint sound of the siren get really loud and then pass him at a veeerrrryyyy high rate of speed. Lol. Buh-bye troopa doop. No pay out today. lol. True story.

I have a couple of stories, 2 over 100 pulled over 16 times in the last 3 years mostly bs like tints, music too loud (wtf), exhibition of speed for taking off at lights, and rolling stops at stop signs and stuff a stack of pba cards helped keep that to only 5 tickets three were speeding 82 in a 55 100 in a 55 and finally 107 in a 55 + reckless never took my car, but after this most recent one, i lost my license for 30 days but I have paid a lot in fines and surcharges, and I currently have 5 points on my license after all the plea bargaining and a defensive driving course after 30 days of being grounded I have slowed down quite a bit
