I think you are trying to reference the POWER rear sunshades. I believe there is a manual sunshade kit you can purchase (similar to the pics above, but for the E92).

I would not be opposed to getting the power sunshades if the retrofit kit isnt all that expensive. Long story short, but the dealership screwed up my order when I placed it, and the power rear sunshade were not ordered. For VA's intense summer heat, I would not mind having that rear SS on top of my tint...


Ill keep an eye out for that retrofit kit...

If the dealer screwed up your order, you might be able to get them to do the installation of the retrofit kit for free. The kit will be out soon - I'd wait for it as it's a much neater installation.

After looking at costs, I am not going with the power sunshade option. Its just looking too expensive...

So I just ordered the Manual Sunshade for my E92. I would like to install myself. Does anyone know if there is a DIY for it? I have looked for it, and have been unsuccessful.

FYI, there are also sunshades that you can stick in the rear windows of the E92 as well. Similar to that of the E90 posted in this thread. I might get them come summer time...

The beauty of this is you have the option of tying it into your rear deck safety child seat anchors OR bolting it down via the hidden end cap screw holes. Also the hooks don't need to be screwed into your headliner. They simply hook onto the rigid edge of the liner where the liner meets the rear glass. So the entire thing is 100% removable without a trace and with absolutely nothing done to your car. I love it so much I am thinking of just using binding screws and a power drill to bolt that SOB down to my rear deck permanently!
