Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of teen fatalities. About 44% of all teen deaths in 2003 were attributed to vehicle crashes – more than triple the number of teen suicides and more than double the number of teen homicide victims (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).

it's a fact, jack

No offense to anyone, but why is this in a technical forum?

It is a fact, but not every teen falls into that category

Therefore, no matter who you are or someone around you can cause an accident or be in one.

Drive safe!

It happens when you buy a powerful car for an irresponsible kid.

I saw this on an internet site that mentioned an accident in a 335 where a kid hit a divider on a Long Island highway doing something like 150mph and apparently car split in two and kid and friend were mangled beyond recognition. One of the kids got decapitated. I don't remember where but they posted picture of that too with the engine and from 500 feet away from the rear undercarriage of the car.

Sad shit for sure. I didn't even know what happened to this one. I just saved the image because it was a BMW. there were other cars too. Really makes you think twice every time you get the urge to floor the pedal. Its good to know the cars as well as your own limits.
