I am in the same boat. i have tried loads of different halo bulbs. these are the best i can find 10w pretty bright. But still have the yellow tinge of standard. No error's and been runnung them for 5 or 6 months.

I want to go for a dipped beam bulb upgrade but thought I'd check how easy they are to install first.
It sounds like they are not easy. Is it right you have to do it from the wheel arch? Also, not sure if this is just in the States, but are the bulbs covered under warranty? I never thought they would be but I was reading stuff about a warranty sticker that gets broken when you take the bulb out... I'm not very handy so don't want to spend money on bulbs only to find I can't fit them!

For what it's worth here is my experience of aftermarket bulbs. I bought some for my last car which was an E46 325Sport and in the daylight they looked great but on an evening their performance was shocking, much shorter range than standard.
Stick with well known brands such as Phillips and you should be OK. Stay away from the other unheard of brands. |
