Beautiful car especially with those LED head and tail lights! Just like the R8's.

Why is everyone so crazy about forced induction?? IMO naturally aspirated is the way to go....the power just comes on so much smoother and more predictable.

a supercharger has all the power benefits of turbos and is much smoother.

3. I wonder how easily the SC can be tuned relative to the old B5 S4 turbo or even the current 2.0 T-FSI engines
This is all your opinion. What cars in the line up 'look the same'? The S model line is always understated. You have to know what you're looking at and Audi's audience appreciates that.

The interior is stunner. I can appreciate the austere BMW and the more 'command' type Audi interior. If they were the same, wouldn't that be boring?

Aside from 100k plus cars like the R8, it's the best performance Audi yet for the money. The current car is 15k cheaper then previous model B6/7 and you're getting a far better car. It's very underrated.. the car is brand new so there aren't many tunes. Wait a year and it's going to be killer. The 3.0SC and S tronic work in harmony, if you disagree ... then you're just wrong

Jason, the S5 will be getting the 3.0SC along with S tronic.

Both have pro's and con's obviously. People like FI because you can get more power out of smaller displacement offering better fuel economy.. also easy to tune. It's the future so get use to it.

The 4.2 V8 might be linear and smooth, but it's a gas guzzler with little tuning potential. It's a dog in both the previous S4 and current S5.

Correction: The S5 does have a 3.0 Litre Supercharged motor, however it's ONLY available on the convertible

although s4's are great, I still feel that they lack the resposiveness and agility/fun factor that BMW has. Not to be bias at all, heck my brother has one...He finds the ride in my 1 far more fun that his s4, maybe its the RWD...
regardless, that is an extremely aggressively priced vehicle, its hard to get anything as good at that base price.
