no...AA's one-off custom turbo S54 wasn't a kit, and it wasn't mass produced and sold anywhere...i'd say HPF still has a monopoly on the turbo S54 market.

I really hate this forum...I was done modding after the DPs.....there was not one FMIC that I liked except for VK's because it uses the original couplers, but design was too small....This I like...

Your video shows a 335i, Is there cutting or modifications if installed on a 135i?

Do you have any before/after IAT data to share? That is the most useful info when comparing IC's.

What are your reasons for leaving the factory C-clip couplers in place (besides the obvious)? Most intercooler manufacturers claim that is the biggest limitation of the stock piping which causes performance loss.

GB?

Btw, looks amazing!!

I must say... its refreshing to see a vendor "release" a product that can actually be bought, packaged and shipped.

Kudos to HPF.

We are doing a limited production run on our 135/335 intercoolers and plan to ship them to customers at the end of February. I have a feeling that our first production run will literally be sold out before the end of this week. We will be starting the second and significantly larger production run shortly after and plan to ship those to customers in early April.

We haven't datalogged the pressure drop across the core or intake air temperature drops yet. We did that extensively on our E46 M3 platform to get the best core out there. Our 335i intercooler is made using the same intercooler core and is actually a tad larger than our E46 M3 core. Over the next month I will gather that data and publish it and we will also plot out the intercooler efficiency at the different power levels.

We've test fit these on a coupe and a 4 door but I don't believe either of them were an LCI. I will have the answer to that question very soon.

Powder coating an intercooler will result in a decrease in performance. Anodizing is fine. We offer anodizing for these intercoolers in various colors. Please work with david@horsepowerfreaks.com and he can discuss these options with you.

Some trimming will be required on the 135 as well. We need a 135i here in Portland to test fit our intercooler on it. If you know of anyone in the Portland, OR area, please email david@horsepowerfreaks.com.

We're very excited to release our intake manifolds and fuel rail / injector kits for the 335i. Those are a few months off but that day is rapidly approaching.

I was referring to AA's supercharger kits...Realistically the only competition to HPF's turbo M3's.
