Hi there. First-time poster. I've been looking for details on replacing my bank 1 pre-cat O2 sensor on my E90 (2007 328xi). I can get to the sensor easily, but I can't for the life of me follow the wire around. It seems to wrap around the back of the engine.

Is it possible to replace this O2 sensor without putting the car on a lift? If so, can someone offer guidance for doing so?

Eninty posted the DIY earlier in the thread, just read that. But the quick of it is, the wire ends up connected to an engine harness that sits on top of the fuel rail under the engine cover. The Cabin airfilter housing needs to be removed, then the engine cover needs to be removed to get the the O2 sensor connector. You don't need a lift for the pre-cat sensors.
