The SC is a bit loud when it is not operating after the throttle - this means in vacuum condition where the sound is suppressed . I will try to buy and implement as many original parts from the Mercedes installation as possible.
This is an electric clutch version and during idle and cruise is off - I will control it via vacuum solenoid and use it in power on demand mode as designed, when the SC is off I will be saving fuel and be as naturally aspirated.
On paper this helps the SC last a lot longer dew to minimal usage compared to the usual always ON SCs and practice showed that this was a clever design - google shows that problems with the clutch is a rare occasion.

I have recently updated my stock with two(2) new items:
1.
http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Red-D...t-Gauge-1.aspx
A boost digital gauge. It costs only 66$, may be a garbage but still digital, electronic and brand NEW with Warranty - so I will not need any pressure pipe inside the cabin.
2.
I have also bought an INTERCOOLER form the very SLK230 Kompressor. Brand New from ebay for just 43Euro - great deal!

See you soon

Is this fairly easy to bolt onto your car? I wonder if you could upgrade the blower to the mp62, I had one of those on a 2.7l motor and it was amazing @ 10psi. Get ready to hear that blower scream. Those s/c really like nitrous as well, ever consider a 35 shot? Do you know the limits of the motor? Good luck!

btw-those blowers could go for over 100K miles before a rebuild. They are sealed units and the oil in them get's changed at 80K I believe. Send it off to these guys to port out the opening and clean up all the lobes for smoother flow. http://www.stiegemeier.com/home.html

I will NOT need any SC porting or upgrade because I am aiming at 5-6psi and nitrous is really far away from the every day reliable and functional setup that I am looking for. Additionally I will be keeping the costs as low as possible - this is a HIGH priority objective.
Thank you for the support here. I will try to manage this setup but a lot of questions and unknowns are arising so nothing is certain. It will be a wild run down this road and I hope step by step to make odds even.
Next in the list:
1. Innovate LC-1
2. Intake and exhaust pipes for the SC
3. SC mounting plate
For 2 and 3 I will try with the original from the SLK230 Kompressor installation and of course modify them for my space and fasten points.

You are a long way of from needing to monitor AFR's, and also you should have bought an LM-2 so you can log various parameters from the OBD-2 port. If you plan to tune that ECU, you need to at least log rpm (plus AFR) and preferably TPS, load, and a few others also. The LM-2 makes that easy to do.

I will put the most power giving UPsolute chip they offer and from there I will just tune up reading the AFR and of course OBD2 values via Bluetooth ELM27 - Water - Methanol system will help me via cooling and additional juice. The one is sophisticated with its own boost progressive controller.
I will stay on the ground so it won't be a monstrous as MUCH as I can get setup. As I mentioned before, the goal is a fully reversible(within 2-3HOURS) setup which gives 30-50 additional hp and a massive increase in torque(low RPM) due to the supercharger FORCED induction effect compared to the NA AutoTranny conception. So I want balance and durability over acceleration and transformation.
Of course, I think the AFR meter I have bought will do the trick, It will be an aid for tunning and fail safe check all the way down.(or let's say UP )
Tomorrow I will post pictures of the original Mercs intake and exhaust for the supercharger which I have just bought.
Till then SUCCESS!

Here are the pictures of the Intake and Exhaust of the SuperCharger. They are OEM and will be a perfect start. I could always cut a part of them and change some other angle but the mounting flange will be a tight and perfect OEM fit
Here you go:

Projects like these are always great. You will enjoy it so keep good records of it here. My project car turned out well and I'm very glad I kept my posts here. The only problem is I lost track of how much I spent because I purchased so many little sub 100 dollar items.

To go from 150 to 200 hp is a 33% increase so you will need about .33 of 18 = 6psi to get to 200 hp so you are in the ballpark. You will need a fuel enrichment device of a sort and not just water/methanol injection. You will need about 33% more fuel. You could run a 5th injector in the tubing. Do you have the HPFP and direct injection? you must if you have the vanos. That makes it more difficult. How about injecting propane thru a nitrous nozzle which will solve 2 problems- fuel enrichment, cooling effect. You could do away with the intercooler and water/meth injection.

I bought something new which is going to steer me a little bit in the right direction. Lately I have been reading a lot and also listened to the words of some guys here and there. So today I bought a gorgeous - a little old but never used- ERL Aquamist MF2 - Fuel / Water Injector Controller.
With it I will be able to control a 3D standalone fuel map based on MAP sensor.
So I will be going in something like the picture showing the 4 injectors.(the Photo is downloaded from the ArmaSpeed)
Also wanted to share the MF2 connection scheme.
If somebody is interested in the injection controller, here is the link to Aquamist:
http://www.aquamist.co.uk/sl/plist/p...7/806-627.html
So far so good.....Later
