The bottle on my lance is 500ml, so since you have a 'big one' I would go with 2 inches.

I use the AutoBrite foam lance and snowfoam solution - an inch in the bottom of the reservoir is plenty IME. It does depend a LOT, however, on the power of your pressure washer. If it's a cheapy with a low flow rate, the best snowfoam in the world won't do what it's supposed to

1. Pressure wash (to remove loose dirt and wet the bodywork).
2. Snowfoam (allow to dwell for as long as possible to loosen stubborn dirt)
3. Rinse
4. Snowfoam again (allow to dwell for a couple of minutes)
5. Agitate snow foam with a washmit, making sure you cover every inch of the car.
6. Rinse thoroughly
7. Dry
+2 for me on this method, works great.

Or I could just put an inch in and only half fill the bottle

Thinking about it, I have recently (for some unknown reason) topped the bottle off. That's what it will be.

I have a Nilfisk C120, the chaps over at Detailing World said it would be perfect so I'm guessing that's not the issue.

Lol at the dog.......you got any pics. of him covered in snowfoam bless him. I'm assuming he's ok by the fact you mentioned it? Probably just had a disgruntled look on his face.
Ah thats reassuring then.

No pics of dog but he was fine although he looked a little annoyed at me
Was hottest day of the year at that time so he got a cool down with hosepipe which he enjoyed.

My hard work is all in vain tho as the greenfly have covered the front

I've just washed mine and give it a healthy coat of DoDo Juice Blue Velvet.

Scared to go for a drive now as I dont want the front covered in bugs
