This OFFER from Anneka has NOTHING to do with BMW - it is a Sytner offer for ONE fortunate customer, who will benefit from effectively a zero labour charge as well as a 5% discount off parts RRP (for the 335i system). I believe Anneka is offering this so she can work out exact labour times and costs so she can present a suitably enticing forum offer for the exhaust at a later stage. A favour for her, yes, but hardly one that warrants such cynicism or blatant slating.

Your cynicism has unfortunately come off as being rude and disrespectful to Sytner, who are actually offering BENEFITS and DISCOUNTS to forum members...
There was no cynicism in my post - I merely posted how I feel about this post - is that a crime on your forum? after all, this is a place for opinions, right?

Apology? for what exactly? for merely questioning the validity of this offer?

Questioning? Or an aggressive dismissal of the offer based on thin air.

Your point might have been valid if there were any facts in it

its difficult to understand why you were questioning the validity of the offer when the fitting was in effect being offered free

I haven't accused anyone of anything, so why would I need facts? I merely suggested that this 'offer' is more of a favour for Anneka - As her post clearly suggests. So my question was, why aren't they offering this at a much cheaper/no price basis? Anneka hasn't confirmed as to why this 'offer' was being made - but Mr moderator suggests it's because they would like to pilot the idea of a discount offer for forum members. Of course, Anneka has clearly asked for assistance - and the terms are outlined by means of pricing. There's nothing PERSONAL in my statement - just an observation/opinion on this 'offer.'

I'm not here to cause arguments, just posing my opinions. I suggest you read what I write and don't just follow your mates in coming to the same conclusion as to the tone of my post.

Greetings from Moscow :-)

Actually, Anneka hasn't asked for any favours and besides her posts didnt actually suggest otherwise. Unfortunately Anneka doesn't sit in a shed making these exhausts, insist she did so I could buy for next to nothing. Her role is customer focused and where she can she will do things to save people money.

I've also been involved in working with certain well know manufacturers of high performance products for cars and its seldom I get anything foc. As for trying new item on the menu, i always get billed for that :-(

This isnt aimed specifically but I hope we can put the recent pattern of negativity around these threads behind us, as I genuinely and generally believe that it's not nice to rain on someones parade.

Hope someone takes up this offer.

To get this thread back on track then, I believe the offer still stands and some lucky member will hopefully take Anneka up on the promotion and get a new exhaust for their car. I know there are quite a few members who have been keen on a new exhaust!

That's true enough Tony and my reply was really about the extra £415 for the 335 system.

The Performance Silencer System

The kit will include a new backbox for each exhaust outlet (so 2 for 335i's, one for the 330i's), with chrome plated exhaust tips and replacement connecting pipes for centre silencers. The kit also includes the clamping sleeve and all mounting parts.

Depending on your vehicles age, a reassessed centre exhaust may be required, I will be able to determine this with your chassis number. As a rule of thumb, most cars post 2006 do not require the replacement centre exhaust.

There is a video on Youtube that records the difference in engine note between the Stock Exhaust and the Performance Exhaust whilst on a rolling road.

will it fit my 335d and make it sounds like a 335i?

Would it actually fit my e92 335d and sound any good compared to stock?

it will fit straight on the 335d but mine sounds no different from stock unfortunately, though the other day i was driving up a steep narrow hill with banks both sides and it did make a better sound, in general though you are hard pushed to notice a difference. certainly wont sound like an i!

I considered this, but as you know, I'm already spending a lot of money on the other install that you're doing right now.

Did you say Sytner has a demonstrator car with this on? Maybe I'll take a listen this afternoon.
