At the end of the day most cars will be worth 40% of their original value after 3 years / 36K miles.
For a 335i that means sub £15k. Most of that depreciation happens in year one. I would budget for £ 1k per month against list prices. If you get a nice discount it will help, but at the end of the day if you change a car after 12 months it's going to hurt. Regardless of the model you choose. |

i think things like having an m sport greatly increases the value of the car as time goes on depending on how many get sold initially. I looked recently on bmw's used approved, the average price for a 335i m sport is a good 4k more than the equilivent 335i se.
I think depending on how many miles you do per year is probably the biggest factor, I cover about 3k miles a year currently so if I were to purchase a 335i with say 30k miles on the clock, it might be considered 'average' miles i.e. near 12k a year but a year after iv owned it, it will be much less than average again. You get the usual other factors like new models being released and the general age of the car. |

Plus mileage (unless Stella) doesn't make much material difference, a few hundred pounds per 10k when I last played with glass' for my car....
