Ive only driven it today really but its difficult to see a large difference.

It does feel more sensitive to part throttle and seems to pull stronger in 6th, but in all honesty i have yet to really try.

Its on!!!....my first mod!....

the car feels definitely lighter!....now I have a glimpse of what a full remap would have been!....

0-60 is very much improved....actually....i'd say 20- 60 ....is where you can feel the difference and the lightness!....

Think the car is still adapting....

For the cost of the JB plus, i think its quite good value....i now need to find out how reliable it is for the engine....hopefully , touch wood...everything is gona b ok,....

Install was at Birds, as usual ,got a good service from Kevin and Dennis which allowed me to watch the first part of the install.... fitting time and testing was about 1 hour....had to remove the airbox....price paid about £90!!!.....bit pricey IMO, but they checked for any codes and took the car for a quick test drive...so I'm happy....

I drove the car for about 1 hr 35 mins today.....definitely lighter and faster than a standard 335i!.....

Bring it on Clios!

I was driving with DTC/DSC fully off ...or on (full 5 seconds press of the dtc button) ..."on your own" mode....

Lots of wheel spins in the dry......and I got a bloody nail in my rear tyre!!!!....all that extra power must be attracting nails now!!!...

Ah bloody nails mate, got two in my first week of buying my 335i. Cost of them 19 runflats put a serious delay on buying a tune.

Glad you're enjoying it Kev,

Interesting you say it makes the car feel lighter - my thoughts exactly, the extra torque sheds kilos of the 'feel' of the cars weight when accelerating.

....but you soon remember it still weighs the same when you come to braking or cornering...and you're going faster to which makes it worse!

JB +

Glad your enjoying the mod. Mines has been on for 4 months now, and to be honest am thinking of sumit else.No codes no issues touch wood and its set at max. Remember if your running it more that the default setting you will have to juice her up on super unleaded, or there will be no real gain over the default setting as the fuel rating is important with this mod.

Am now looking at the JB4 or a flash of sorts, as this device only really works under full weight of the right foot, you do have to push her to make it work, am looking for more torque less effort, whoring it about is fun for a bit, but attracts a lot of attention, and the blues and twos. Am looking for the big hit of torque and pull you get in a derv turbo, the low down and high end pull for over taking with ease. Not that this doesnt do that, just that to make it work its got to be booted not squeezed.
Enjoyable for a first tune but looking for the next level now.
Am wondering if a DMS re map is the way forward, any comments on this?

If you guys can buy the wiring harness from Burger or the UK distro,
I'll have a JB3 module with latest software for sale in a few days as I'm upgrading.

Must be worth £50 posted (needs a harness and sometimes they appear in the FS sections)
Also have the decat downpipe fix module for the same £20

Steve.

Any 335i should ALWAYS be run on super unleaded anyway, its a no brainer.

A tuned one absolutely 100% so or you're wasting all your money. You've seen the evolve dyno charts with 40bhp difference on a standard car betweem dishwater 95 ron and v power?
