Not my pic.

I'm on my third one. Love it... Perfect size, wicked sharp, nearly the perfect knife.

I forget what the blade length laws are in Cali. I do think it exceeds it by .25" or something asinine like that. I carried this exact knife in LA for 4 years.... clipped to my pocket (so semi-visible).

Carried into restaurants/clubs, etc. No one ever said a thing... people did get semi freaked when I'd pull it out to open things since it looks like an instrument of death. Gotta tell you that reverse hook on the front is really good for opening boxes, etc.

It actually is smaller than you think and really, really thin since the liner-lock mechanism is integrated into the handle.

I got some butter knives and a set of cutco steak knives.. Does that count? The steak knives can cut through a penny! The salesman showed me when he came to my door to sell me them!!

Had this until I got a summons for it during a traffic stop. Any suggestions for a new one?

My EDC defensive knife: Benchmade Rukus

My EDC general purpose knife: Spyderco Dragonfly

My EDC utility tool: Leatherman SideClip

I also have the following, but I don't necessarily carry them:
My previous EDC defensive knife: Al Mar SERE 2000

Can't carry fixed blades concealed here, so these are for hiking/camping/etc.
Buck/Strider Solution 888 fixed blade

Cold Steel SRK

I used to have an Emerson CQC-7, but I either sold it or lost it (I can't find it in other words.) I've had a couple of other Spyderco's over the years too.

As for knives in general, I really like these brands:
Benchmade
Strider
Emerson
Spyderco

Not sure about that, maybe it depends on the state? I have had both of these for quite a few years. Bought one in a knife shop in a FL mall, the other online. Both are automatic.

Yes, it depends on the state..luckily for you FL is one of the most knife/switchblade friendly states. In most states, owning a switchblade is a felony and the only exception is for LEOs or military. To top it off, balisongs (butterfly knives) are now classified as switchblades. I can carry a pistol with a ccw but never a butterfly knife. WTF.
