Sorry for the thread jack, but I didn't know you could push those tubes in? Any chance they can be replaced? I think the one I have melted into a bubble.

That's what I thought. Some how I found a used assembly on eBay for $30. Not bad at all, don't know if it works yet though.
OP, OSS require a good amount of time, hassle, and money, but are the best. Otherwise, buy express705's Lux.

OP, I had the exact same problem with mine and i must have taken the lux out 2-3 times and switches the units to troubleshoot the problem. It always seemed to me as if the Lux wasn't hitting the halo rings right on and that is why it was dim.
I feel you might have done the same thing i did during install. I finally figured out that when i installed my LuX, i must have loosened the glue that kept the angel eye in place and i by mistake pushed the angel eye unit forward just a couple centimeters but that was enough to not have the Lux unit hit the angel eye direct on. I recommend taking out the unit and see if the angel eye wiggles and try to pull it towards the unit a bit, Pull carefully if it is noticably out of place since it is made of a glass material. What helped me notice that the angel eye was pushed in further than it should have been is the fact that the angel eye stems that is suppose to line up with the unit, is not sitting correctly on the black plastic piece that is supposed to hold them in place. I hope my individual issue helps. I can't emphasize enough that i feel like you might be in the same situation as I was. |
