Water gushing from from the AC outlet

I noticed the same problem posted here this morning. It's monsoon in India now, and the car was parked in the open but covered (water-proof), and the rear footwell was soaking wet. While driving my daughter notcied water gushing out of the ac vent from under the front passenger seat. So now I know how the water came in, but need to find out why.. Taking it to the BMW service center next week.

Hi All,

Im having a similar issue whereby waster is getting in somehow into my rear passenger footwell. I've taken the plastics out the back and moved the carpet and there is quite a bit of water present, small puddles and carpet sopping wet(can ring the water out just by poking it) but no sign of where the water is coming from. water is crystal clear. Only seems to happen when it rains? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Probably coming in via your windshield cowl or air cabin intake - lots of times down and through the blower. If not can also be because the windshield drain points are clogged and water works its way past the firewall at the same points.

But would all the water end up in the back Passenger footwell? Front windshield area was full of leaves so I've removed all the debris and cleaned well, however we had really bad rain last night and the footwell has even more water present now! does this sound like its going to be a door seal? any idea on best way to resolve/figure this one out?
thanks again.

Fairly new to the E90(not to BMW as I have a 1998 E36 2.5 TDS Touring LHD), I know we are never done with repairing our cars as they need maintenance all the time.
It's about an E90 October 2009 318D RHD with nearly 110K Miles on the clock, in the passenger(left) side found a puddle of water when going out for a drive after 3 days of rain, wasn't much but still enough so I noticed it.
Have been reading here and put a high pressure washer to work in the well known corners underneath the windscreen, straight away I could see water coming out underneath. Have checked in the rear and that is completely dry!

It is a sedan/saloon, no sunroof, car is parked on a slope with the nose downhill.

Tonight rain is expected so tomorrow I will check again, if there is water again what would you fellow E90 friends recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Did you end up resolving this? I'm having the same issue now unfortunately. Just starting to troubleshoot but sounds like I may need to yank the door apart.

I have water leaking into the passenger footwell of my BMW È92 Coupe.
I thought it was coming from inside the passenger door (leaking membrane) when I took the door panel of everything was fine.
The drainage seems ok under the bonnet no leaves or debris in the grills.
After a quick heavy rain shower today a small amount
Leaked onto the carpet, just after the shower I heard a swooshing sound like there's a lot of water pooled up somewhere at the front of the car,
Rather mystified
