I spoke with Harold at HPA and he was suppose to get in touch with AST yesterday morning when I sent him a message.
So I have no idea what the hold up is, if I don't receive a call/message by tomorrow, I'll call Brian. For $2k you figure that things would be a little smoother than this. |

Anything and Everything is delaying these freaking coils..(Christmas, New Years, Bad Weather, Ground Hog Day, State of the Union, MLK day) I might have been able to custom make a set myself by now. ha.

Just an update, still haven't heard anything from AST, literally nothing. Not even the courtesy to say why things are so delayed, it's pretty unprofessional. I've worked closely with many large companies and this is definitely the worst way to leave an impression.
Very frustrated. |

They have been very involved with Daytona. I hear business is really taking off and they are just busy. I would call Brian. Goto AST-USA.com

I think the issue I'm having with AST is the expectation of when I was promised these coils. I was told the beginning to mid-January upon ordering them before Thanksgiving and now it's coming up on being 1 month late and 3 months since ordering.

Ya man BEFORE Thanksgiving! Paid for them on the spot same day and am still waiting. I'm about to start asking for interest on the 2,000 I gave them up front. At least put the money into an escrow account if its gonna take a third of the year to make them.
Wow saying a third of the year sounds ridiculously long. Lol |

Just got off the phone with brian and wondering if I made a mistake ordering these. He assumes us consumers are suppose to know these are not actually for sale and that they are very very very low on their priority list even though the dealers offer them for sale. He was pretty much saying that I'm sol and they might get around to making them in about another 3 weeks.
The dealers and ast need to get on the same page and realize if u offer something for sale then there is a reasonable expectation. I also hate when companies act when they don't care about ur business because they have so many other pressing matters which is probably true but never what u want to relay to the consumer |

I'm the original person who found out about these and ordered them before thanksgiving like Pitts. Does anyone have a phone number for AST? I would like to call them as well!

Thanks for the info TX. Yes, I know how to use the Internet. I just wanted to call the same person Pits called. I will reach out to AST tomorrow aw well. I ordered mine through Harold at HP Autowerks and the last thing I was told they would be in by the end of January.

I'm new to this forum. What's supposed to be so great about AST 4100 coilovers? I've been pretty happy with my KWv1 (for street use) coilovers for the last six months.

well they are rebuildable for starters. If you blow a KW v1 (and apparently it happens fairly often) you need to buy a new one. AST's can be rebuilt. Generally, they are race quality shocks and until they came along, KW and H&R were really the only options for the XI.

Any other updates from you guys???
I seriously wouldn't be as upset if someone (vendor/ast) actually gave a shit and apologized for the delay and offered a small discount on a future purchase. Not that I'm looking to get something for nothing, but at least show that they somewhat care about the delay. |
