I called up my CA today and he told he that if the ship docks tomorrow, I should be able to pick up my car in about 10 days. I thought that was pretty long....hopefully it will arrive sooner and then....

Hey! I'm on this boat too! I have watching its progress for over a week. It seems to be making good time. My port is Charleston, SC on 10/4. It actually moved up a day! It is hitting NY,NY tomorrow. My 330i is on board waiting to be driven! The light is at the end of the tunnel now. Please no storms!

I'm sure the prep center in NY/NJ is a busy one. It probably takes at least a few days to get released from there (and a day or two to get there) then it has to be scheduled on a closed truck for delivery to the dealer... I forget how long it was for my E90, but I think it was at least a week.

I want to know why my Chicago-bound 330xi can't sneak off the ship in NYC (or Baltimore!) and race over to my BMW dealer.

NYC to Chicago: 787 miles
Baltimore, MD to Chicago: 698
Charleston, SC to Chicago: 915 miles

Anyone know why us Chicago folks get off (as it were...) in the port furthest from our city?

Me either, I was looking for it last night. Must have docked. It is supposed to leave NY today for Baltimore, so all the Baltimorons can get their cars, then on to SC so Nikki can get her new baby.

This coming weekend might be a little too hopeful. I think it took at least a week to get my E90 after the ship came in.

Click on Cargo Tracking and then click on auto cargo enter vin number and it will tell you when the auto was loaded etc. A week from today would be next weekend, so it would be a possible. I am only a few hours from NY as well.
