took around 6-7 hours including removing and installing the trim from the car.

the fabric is really flexible and stretchy so for the corners i stretched it and formed it around the corner then for the back i sliced the corner down the middle and glued it to the backing of the trim. once everything was glued down on the back i used an xacto knive and carefully trimmed away at the fabric. just so the vents and everything would fit back in properly.

Damn, you did a really good job with it. Is this non-adhesive backing a bit easier to work with than the Di-Noc?

BTW, I love the CF fabric on beige, the contrast looks so nice.

I just got my fabric 2day from PYspeed...this is probably gunna be my biggest DIY and im kind of nervous. 2marrow im gunna grab some spray scissors and an xacto knife and get to work with taking off the trim..question.

Did you glue the front first before you wrapped the back? sorta like when gift wrapping a box?

Yes. I sprayed the trim with glue then put the vinyl on and got the creases and bubbles out of the front side. then laid the piece on its front and worked on the back.. then trimmed away any holes I needed to trim away.

I just picked up a roll of that 3M Di-Noc c/f stuff. Soon as I get a chance I'll start on it.

thanks. and so did you spray the front of the trim, and the put it down and then spray the rear of the trim and lay it down? or did you just spray the front? and when you spray it and lay it down does it become like a sticker or do you have time to move it around?

I had the trim facing upward, sprayed it
- applied the vinyl on one end and worked my way to the other side
- then laid the trim on its front side(the one i just sprayed)
- sprayed the backside
- tucked in everything and worked the corners
- cut out air vents or other holes
- glue the vinyl around the holes to the backside
- let it sit and dry

hope this helps

It's not fabric - it's the silver clearcoated CF kit from EAS. The charcoal CF you see in the photo is fabric.

I am getting a little tired of my light burl walnut and really like the look of the black matte CF! I love the look the the CF leather found on the M3

I have beige interior and I think that combo looks great!!!
