For the GIAC stg 2 requirements i have to run a catback system/dp's. I'm going to meet up with someone that has the Rennart system and see how it sounds. I really don't expect it to be that much quieter. I think any time you put catted or catless aftermarket dps and a catback exhaust, its going to be loud, its a tradeoff for the added power.

I can live with the Vanguard, its loud but it does sound good. It doesn't drone much, only once in a while at 2000-2100 rpms (which you don't stay in long) and once i get it readjusted I think it won't vibrate as bad. Right now the exhaust is touching the chassis somewhere and it causes a vibration when you accelerate, thats what is annoying me most. The gurgling sound it makes is pretty sick and turns heads like crazy. I drove through NYC and it sounded real good with the sound bouncing off all the barriers/buildings.

KLin - I did install the catless dp's and exhaust at the same time. I'm sure it won't be as loud with the stock downpipes.

I'll report back with my opinion on the Rennart. It is still available on thier website and its cheap compared to other exhausts.

you could certainly get away with a CL stock exhaust. it has been proven time and time again there is not much additional flow to be found in an aftermarket exhaust vs. a CL stock system. no where near enough to place an impact on the tuning.

the stock DP's are the huge bottleneck...
