ok.... so I just installed the JB+... installation couldn't be easier. (even a caveman could do it)
I now have a aFe drop in, the JB+, a Vishnu cat-less dp and the Remus Race exhaust. I have installed all of these parts in stages... so my butt dyno doesn't really feel a difference... am I missing something? The dyno says (above) says I should have gained approx 24 hp and approx 25 ft lbs or TQ. You should feel that .... right? I am going to start a new thread with a video of a quick start and then a couple WOT runs...

If you can't feel any gain with all those parts you may just need a new butt dyno. But if you have the CAN Tool you can plug it in to the OBDII port, use the boost on fuel gauge option, and ensure you're getting 12-13psi around 5000rpm in 3rd and 4th gear. If not you may have some issue or mod incompatibility going on. Mike |

ok... vid posted
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=510061 just a super quick sneak peak... I'm working with Terry on the boost... we'll see... I need a dyno to be sure where I'm at with rwhp and tq... but with the JB+, and the Vishnu 3.5 catless and the Remus Race axle-back... I should be (around) 350 hp and 350 tq.... no? Does that seem right?

Thanks to Terry I was able to see my boost on the fuel gauge via CAN tool hijack... but I don't know the exact psi. It looks like on WOT, the boost shoots up to just over the 1/2 tank mark and then goes back down when I let up. Now I see why people buy the separate boost gauge...

BMS did around 315rw with the JB+ alone in 60 degree weather. I think 350rw would be about 20-30rw optimistic with Miami weather but can't hurt to find out!
BMS is taking their 135i out to the track tonight for some runs with the JB+ only on the car. They may also do some comparisons with the N55 JB4 Stage1. I would love to see a stock N55 run 12s with the $279 JB+ as its only mod. Mike |
