Wait, what kind of numbers did you get from the EKP in terms of it's peak output capabilities to the LPFP? (ie. Was 11v the best you could get out of it?)

But I would really hate if a whining fp would be the downside of this upgrade |

I'm thinking 4 parts also. Part 3 will revolve around the various upgrades tested and the results. And then part 4 will be the conclusion that will most likely introduce a new Vishnu product

This analysis does not prove that older pump performed worse due to age or that these pumps loss 11% productivity after one year. Only after a larger population test with control pumps confirmed to have similar productivity are allowed to have some sit for a year and some used day to day for a year and subsequent proof they vary would I place reliance on that conclusion.

Great read Shiv! I'm excited to see what you come up with.
As a side note, I don't hear my LPFP prime everytime i open the door. Only some times? I wonder if its "prime" function is based purely on pressure seen at the HPFP, and if it drops below a certian value (x), then it primes open seeing some defined activity with the vehicle?

Also keep in mind that the 1 yr old pump is from Vishnu's shop car. It was probably working overtime from day 1. Not saying all other pumps should be fine. We just shouldn't generalize the durability of all LPFPs from a sample size of 1. Although I'll admit that I personally find it a bit alarming. Last edited by phazedkid; 04-12-2011 at 05:00 PM.. |
