Amazing how one little detail just totally flipped me to the coupe.... This picture is from another thread on this forum...Nice....

They are alot more subtle in person.....kinda like evil eyes looking at you but you are the evil one

Not an E90 Hater but an E92 Lover

My girlfriend keeps bugging me about getting the sedan..says I should have gotten a porsche cabriolet instead..oh sure honey..I can afford $1100/month lease payments...no problem. She has already ragged on me at least a half a dozen times that she had no input in the purchase...well, I listened to her..and got what I thought was best. I still have two kids 13/16, so the sedan was the better car for everyday driving. (BTW, I do also have a 2004 Tahoe 4X4) Anyway, way to go...get what YOU want ...not what your girlfriend wants.

I've been telling everyone that the 335xi coupe will probably carry about a 2k increase over the coupe just as it does when you go from 328i to 328xi. the rest of the options will probably stay the same, but as you said... the discount lock-in is what is important. they can't change the price of the options etc when they come out so no need to worry about that stuff right now. funny, cause I took a deposit on the xi coupe today too... man was I happy that we got our first 335xi sedan this week. the car sells itself. drive a 335i coupe and then a 335xi sedan and you quickly find that it's the same exact feel... just less tail wag with the DTC on.

2) Those are NOT LED lights there...regular lights
3) MODS/Upgrades -- I would think there are more MODs available out there for the e90 than e92 so far...

They are LED lit tubes. Kinda cool but you have to see them in person to really appreciate. My son followed me home from the dealer when I picked up my car and all he talked about were the "bars".

I pre-ordered the E92 328xi sight unseen. There's no risk with the 335xi coupe and pre-ordering means you'll at least get the car soon after launch.

everything is still 'unofficial' but I would suspect that the 335xi coupe is the big push for the 08 model year in the 3. that being so they will begin building them first week of sept. and they will arrive on the east coast in the last week of sept. or first of october. having your name in as early as possible (and a deposit) guarantees that you get first crack at the first few cars... so hopefully your car would be built in the beginning of sept. I'm pretty sure my guy is first in line at my store, so I'm expecting a late sept. delivery if all goes well.

I was thinking about waiting for the 335xi, but they told me it wouldn't have the paddle shifters, and plus, i'm an impatient bastard. Very happy with rwd though...

maybe i'll start a new thread for this but I'll test your knowledge first.. Speaking of rwd-- I sort of kinda went sideways tonight and ended up going right onto a curb in reverse (i blame the dsc). There was no physical damage to the car or the rims or tires (thank GOD) BUT i scraped the underside of the rear bumper pretty badly and there's a fat hole in it now. My main concern is these little black pellets that were leaking from this hole. Is that some sort of evap chamber?? I saved some of them in a cup and when I smelled them, it smelled like straight up gas and exhaust. I mean, can I drive like this? Is this a cheap fix? Can anyone help me out here? Is my baby going to be ok?

I wonder if they were trying to push an early sale of sonething else......bastards

This is technically true. There has not been an "official" acknowledgement there will be a 335xi coupe.
