Don't forget that you can negotiate options for the BMW finance rate. Since they will be making $$ if you finance through them you can negotiate other stuff to offset Capital One or others interest rates. They will negotiate - they did with me and I picked up another ~$1,500.00 in options that more than offset the slightly increased interest rate.

I'm still waiting for a ship so I'm not at the point of firming up financing yet, but, when I ordered my car, I told my CA that my credit union has 5.9% and he jsut laughed and said "yeah, go with that....we'll try to match what you get but I doubt we can."

I did get 5.9% from BMW financing. Got 6.2% from my credit union and my CA was able to beat it. Getting the car this Saturday..

Military/Fed workers get the best rates with their credit unions. I went to Pentagon Fed CU. There is a $20 membership per year to join if, you are a non-military/Fed worker. I got 5.54% for 66 mons, it can go up to 72 months.
