its the maps trust me, I went crazy with this for a week and then reverted back to 12-17 maps and the rattling went away...This is not the normal wastegate rattle that people experience with faulty wastegates, but its has something to do with software controlling the DC that doesnt agree with some cars while others have no issues at all...its very weird

Went from 12-17 to 5-25. My observation is that there is less initial torque but higher top end. The power delivery feels more like an M3 than a chipped 335. Some will like it, others wont. I for one think it's amazing. Also, the traction control aspect is terrific.

I rattle like a mofo I'm at 49,000. I had Shiv adjust the waste gate compensation before getting my car back with the PWM meth kit. The rattle is completely gone now. I'll probably end up adjusting the rod later on when I can hear it again.

AGAIN I HAVE 0 RATTLE ON THE 5-10 MAPS!!!! Shiv just changed the waste gate compensation and the rattle was gone. I had rattle on 12-17 and 3-30 and when I got the car back with the 5-10 maps it was gone. All I did was ask Shiv to adjust the setting before giving the car back to me.

I have 60,000 miles. Have already had the turbos replaced once because of wastegate rattle.

Which is why I assumed it was the same story now. But the car doesn't rattle on map 0... which got me thinking. Especially with how others are complaining about rattle as well. So I'll try the 12-17 maps and if it solves the issue then that's awesome

For those of you that have WG rattles keep in mind that this is a hardware component. This mean that if your WG is bad ITS BAD!! The proper way to fix it is to replace the WG. The Procede can adjust WG compensation through a software based system to HELP with the noise. The setting we input for (-(ellblazer420 is 45% on WG compensation but this may NOT work for every car but it can be a good starting point. Secondly, cars with close to 50k miles may have various minor issues that often occurs. *These are not related to any tune!!!

Minor issues such as:
1. Vacuum line leaks getting low boost even though it passes visual inspection
2. Vanos
3. Water pump
4. Spark plugs
5. Fuel pump
6. Wastegate

If you want more info feel free to pm me and I will do my best to assist you.

Robert@Vishnu

Let me know because my car sounds aweful right now, I might try the 12-17 also. Sounds like a can of pennies being shaken on aceleration and decel. It helps when I adjust the WCD% down to 30, but I still get some and the exhaust is too loud for my taste at those levels. I'm aware of my WG's going bad but the sound it a lot louder/different now. The product is great, just causing an already existing problem to be louder.

Robert - when are the 6-x maps going to be available to beta test?

Robert, we are all well aware of the classic wastegate rattle. What some of us are experiencing is rattling specifically tied to the use of the new maps. My car would rattle in stock mode as well if the wastegates were acting up, but it's completely quiet. I'm not in any way trying to bash the product, only attempting to solve this issue.

No exact release date for the 6-x maps. But I believe that you know our product enough to try out the 6-x product. Please email shiv@vishnutuning.com for the 6-x maps and he can provide it for you if he feel comfortable enough for people to test.

I will look into this with Shiv and see if we can do anything else to try to solve or help with this issue.

thats actually a pretty good description. i was trying to describe the sound to shiv over email a few weeks ago...and all i could come up with was like a repetitious clicking sound....as if the wg was constantly opening and closing during decel. funny thing is when i start the car up on the DIC maps the car immediately rattles as if something is loose. i start the car up with no Procede installed...or with non-DIC map...and there is no rattle.

so i don't know.

LOL, I should have started a poll in retrospect. Half are saying 3-30 and half 12-17 it seems! I'll go with 3-30 probably first, on the assumption hopefully that in those 4 months since 12-17, there must have been some improvements made to the maps... Hopefully the boost is the same as on the last V4 maps.

Same exact problem here. With JB4/No tune there isn't any wastegate rattle at all. At idle with the new maps I can see my rear wastegate opening/closing and making a lot of noise. Adjusting the WG compensation doesn't seem to fix it at all.

Can we find out what difference Shiv has planned for the 6-X maps to resolve some of these problems.

Richard, what differences are planned for the newest beta maps?

Thanks

My car runs great on 3-30 maps. No issues at all. I will probably stay with that until the next big release.
