JB4, COBB AP and Procede are all great tunes.
The JB4 has been very solid for me, even better than the JB3.

Here's my take:
Cobb AP - If you want to be stock and only have a tune, this is the way to go. JB4 - If you want to do bolt ons and run nitrous this is the one Procede - If you want to do bolt ons and run meth this is the one So far those are all really good tunes, but the items above are what they excel at... |

You'll figure it out quickly but each tune is different so it depends on what your looking to do to your car in the long run.

There is a lot of sugar coating in this thread....
The only logical way to justify a tune is to talk to some who has experienced ALL OF THEM firstly. There are few people and even vendors like Jeff who have tried all the tunes and know the ins and outs of them. Before you take anyones opinions find out what they know about all of them with firsthand experience. People regurgitate what they hear on forums and thats how bandwagons and fanbois start.... Procede or Cobb in my experience. |

Yup...and I have a Procede too that I'll be installing this weekend and testing at the track. I'm no fanboi, I gravitate to the best, no matter what it is.

This is the only forum that has a significant following for all of the tunes (Procede, JB, Cobb, GMAC etc). N54tech seems to be focused on just JB stuff. I've yet to notice threads related to non JB tunes at N54tech. However E90Post has threads from related to all tunes.

I have been a long time JB user from JB3 1.3 days. I beta'd the JB4 since the beginning as well. I helped a buddy strip his car and got a procede for my deeds and gave it a shot.
Lets just say, i have the JB4 back in the car now. The procede was smooth, but didnt care for the steering wheel controls, cruise control map switching, or 10 year old kid designed user interface. I also hate that it says "colours" vice colors. lol Now that the jb4 has autotuning, i havent had a reason to go back. Go with JB4 IMHO. |
