E90 Ccid-381/380

Hey All,

I figured Id post this just in case there is anyone out there trying to figure this out. I had a CCID 381 code for front right indicator bad. Couldn't figure it out for the life of me since all my turn signals were working. Come to find out it is the cornering light bulb that went bad. Its an H3 bulb that was blown which is the inner most eye closest to the grill. There is a small access panel on top of it with three screws to remove and its an easy install. Hope this helps.

Hey folks,

I'm slugging through this too. I HAD a CCID 125 but then a 380 popped up. I had it in for service and they were checking interior lights but blamed my Lux V2 Angel Eyes. I ordered a new pair of Lux H8 160 (which are truly a match to my stock HIDs. much better than V2).

Left hand cornering light bulb had a broken filament. New H3 on the way. will let you know.

I recently had the CC-ID 380 code appear as well (again). From previous occurrences, the error/fault code is related to the H3-55W corning lamps bulbs. Each time, the lamps were still illuminating/functioning properly, but one would show signs of tarnish (I guess from heat.) on the metal base of the bulb. I replaced the bulbs on both sides, and the CC-ID 380 message went away. This remedy has worked twice in the past three years. I put bulb grease on the metal base this last time. So, I am curious if it will prolong the life of the bulbs.
