335i:

348x30 F
336x22 R

Thinner - less material.
The 330 rears are the same as the 335i though IIRC

Even so, those dimensions don't tell the whole story; the rear disc pad area is much smaller, despite a similar diameter, because of the space taken by the handbrake hub. I still maintain it's a bias issue.

Is this not to do with the 'anti-dive' setup BMW talk about on the E9x? As you say, xenon, almost certainly down to rear braking bias.

Yes, could very well be.

I doubt the fake electronic diff will effect rear brake pads that much...unless your doing donuts all day
It only had 3k miles on when I bought the car so doubt it mate.

From the get-go you are assuming the electronic wear guide is accurate.
It isnt.
Have you measured the pad material remaining?

Are you sure about the electronics ?

Reason I ask is I had my MOT today and the guy doing it said the rear pads are 80% gone but they should see you through the winter. Idrive service indicators show 16000 miles left on rear pads.

Will have a look myself in the next few days but it does raise the question in my mind...
