as for spacers, my brother's got some hubcentric 12mm for the rears. since i plan to run my stock 197's thru this winter, would the 12mm be okay? or would there be any rubbing issues?
From what I've seen 12mm on your wheels should be ok, it might rub over big bumps with extra weight in the boot. If you do go with 12mm+ you should also replace the lug bolts with extended ones. We package our 12.5mm spacers with the bolts here. If you just need the wheel bolts you can find them here.

Also if you want to double check if the 12mm will fit check out this PDF. It's an overly simplified version of what to think about when buying spacers.

I have 12mm spacers w/ extended studs on my car! Doesn't rub much on my current wheels, which are 18x10 +25 in the rear and 18x8.5 +25 in the fronts.

We did have to roll the fenders though, but I'd imagine that on the stock wheels you won't have many issues.

that really did make a huge difference. i always wondered, just looking at a ruler, 12mm doesn't look like it would make that much of a cosmetic difference. proved me wrong

Seriously, I used to be against paying $150-200 for spacers since I didn't think it would be a dramatic change. But sure enough, when my friend loaned me his to test fit, I was convinced. Purchased them soon after lol!

Spacers Added

got sick of riding lowered and having to slow down and watch every pothole, so i decided to get a lift kit instead

added some window slotted 12mm spacers in the rears. running on stock 18" 197s
