they don't. It's their daily business to be serious and minimize the risks. That's the way to survive and make profit.

Z, if you can take your car to Harman Motive and do a dyno run on their dynojet.
As you know MANY 335i's have been dynoed there stock and with the PROcede and it should give you (us) a fairly good idea of what your xede is putting down.
Again for quick reference, my 6AT Sedan on PROcede V1.4 only did:
314 rwhp / 358 tq on 91 Octane
325 rwhp / 366 tq on 93 Oct. (10 minutes after pouring in 2 gallons 100 Octane to make 93 Octane...probably would of done a couple more HP/Tq with a bit more time for the ECU to fully adapt).

Harman was suppose to move to a new/larger shop in April however and their new shop is getting a Mustang Dyno.
If that's the case, come up to Santa Clarita and go to
Yimi Motorsports off Soledad Canyon behind the Home Depot.

They also have a dynojet and it's calibrated basically exactly as Harman's was, as people have dynoed their cars at both places and have had very similiar numbers.

Again, too bad you didn't get your xede a couple weeks earlier, as I did with you and ABtek818 with the Turbo Tuner, I would of gladly ran with you in your xede sedan.

Have fun and enjoy.

PS, I agree all, this vendor war is getting old.
There will be people who want to go xede to save a few hundred bucks, and then there will be others who want to go PROcede for the new technology and so forth.
Black tape or sleeves, who cares guys, Shiv could easily use the sleeves as well...and I trust that is NOT the deciding factor in anybodies decision to purchase one over the other.

I agree, but when vendors continue to come in other vendors thread it is going to continue.

We can choose to use tape instead of sleaves but why go the cheap route?

Please stop saying the PROcede/Haltech Interceptor is newer technology. That is yet to be proven. When everyone is using them for vanos control and launch control then I will believe it.... untill then its just misleading sales tool.

Hehe it's hard for me to sneak away at night, the wife might think I have something else going on the side. At least with Irwindale I return with timeslips!

Looking forward to hearing about your results.

Let me know guys, especially if you come back up this way, where we went before.
I can do "camera" car duty in my wife's G35, but I won't keep up very well.

Sunday should be fine, PM me.

1/8th mile tracks stink...they don't tell you much, other than who got the better launch.

I'm no electrician, nor technician, just going off the reports that the PROcede has more inputs and such, allowing for more "upgrades" or whatever, therefore "newer" technology.

Don't know about the Vanos control or launch control, but apparently the latter isn't too far off with version 2.0 of the PROcede. We'll find out soon enough I'm sure.

BTW, what's up with the grounding question that Eugen asked?
I again know nothing about it, but why no response?

We ground the box sufficiently.

We also have extra inputs that has nothing to do with being newer technology.

Well see about the launch contorl and vanos control.....

Wow, i'm shocked, another AA vs. Vishnu thread has gone down the toilet. I think the thread started off on the wrong foot with remarks being made against the procede, and its not just this thread, every thread for either a procede or xede review has to include some type of dig at the competition. I guess this helps the customer to justify their purchase or something, but it is kind of annoying. Also, it doesn't stop at review threads, in technical threads things seem to almost always turn into a pissing contest over which product is better. Can't we just learn as much as we can about the two products so everyone can make their own informed decision as to what suites them better, and accept the fact that two very good products can exist for the same damn car? All the bickering is retarded, and if the argument has come down to electrical tape then I think this proves the point that they are both great products if there is nothing else to fight about. Enjoy your Xede , but please don't feel the fact to have to put down the procede to make your purchase seem better. This should hold true for procede owners as well.

Thanks for the offer Driver72

unfortunately one thing i hate to do is wait for something. (another reason why i went AA xede)

Since ABTEK818 is not 100% on tonight due to his car being in a bodyshop and then has to install his procede etc. I'm seeking another Procede car in SFV/LA area to do a couple runs. If theres no camera cars available i guess ill do the stupid thing and record it with one hand.

my point of this thread was not to bash vishnu or anyones god. My point was to review my thoughts about the xede and I made a few references/comparisons Procede's wiring harness. Since I dont own a procede, I could only mention the differences I can visually see.

Until theres a video of two cars with both systems going at it, the "bickering" won't stop. Thats why I did the TT vs Procede video and thats why I'm doing AA xede vs Procede....

Well give credit where credit is due Z, that get together was my planning and asking Kujo to do the video taping duties.
I was looking for a PROcede auto vs. PROcede manual comparo and you answered my "ad" with a TT offer.

You should wait a bit Z, weekdays are so much busier that a good Sunday afternoon run is better.
I will be out of town Thursday-Saturday too.

We can do several different versions (chase vehicle, in one car, in the other car, and road side).
Plus it's always better to have a third party involved as unlike we didn't do last time, we should of had a lead car to keep look out for small animals that might run across the closed private roads we do the runs on.

yes you are right, you did setup the Procede/location/Video part of those runs... I just got the TT lined up in the wrong car (was hard to unplug something you can hardly see) I'd still like to see how a AT vs AT would be like... since the gearing on AT/manual are different... (recall you 2nd or 3rd gear run @ 60 or something)

Oh, ok they were just references. In any case, do you have a link to the TT/Procede video? I never saw that.
