You really should go dyno your car. I think you'll be suprised that you're not making as much power as you thought you were making. I just pulled a 402 rwhp and 438 ft/lbs on a dynojet at HPF. That's with stock down pipes and exhaust. PROcede v5, DCI, PWM, HPF FMIC. I'm not saying Dinan isn't good stuff. I'm just saying that unless you have actual numbers, quoting Dinan is like guessing how many jelly beans are in a jar.

You need downpipes. I guarantee you, your turbos are suffering.

Yeah, next on my wish list. Not sure how I'm going to buy them and get them installed without the wife noticing. LOL you spent what? But, my average speed is 35 mph and I don't see too much WOT. Just feels good to have that much torque on demand! I drop my daughter off at school in the mornings and I can't wait for oil temp to come up so I can play a bit on the way home. I've owned some really cool cars in the past but this one is by far the most fun.

Those cars are in a different league. My dream car is the GT2. There was a one at the last speed ventures event and it was straight pipe'd. OMG, the sexiest sounding car I have ever heard in my FUCKING LIFE!!! The wing, everyone, was just perfect. Gold wheels, omg.

About one month ago I did a driving training event (two days) at the Nürburgring. From 120 cars, there were around 90 Porsches there, among them many, many GT3 / GT3RS and quite a few GT2/GT2RS. These Porsches are in their own league on a race circuit (IF the driver is up to it...). The GT2 are crazy fast, although I'd prefer the new McLaren over them - just as fast, but much more usable on a daily basis. You can't really use the GTs as a daily driver, they're just too loud and uncomfortable for that. Here's my (lengthy) report on that event, with loads of photos, if anyone's interested:
PHOTOSHOOT - Nürburgring training - 9/2011 - 335i E90 LCI + Ferrari, SLS, McLaren...

Excellent link, thanks. I was able to keep up on the straights with most of the GT3RS last month at the Nurburgring, but I agree as a track car they are way out of "our" league. I was also passed by a GT2 after the last "carrusel" and just before we went on to the last straight towards the gantry/exit , and that car is just really crazy fast. I mean it was gone....and I put down around 390 whp.....

So sick that both of you get to experience the Nürburgring.

Still think I am making less whp ?
I'm sure it's a nice setup but $$$. Many other options that make a lot more power for a fraction of the cost. And yes, you are making less whp. Sorry. I think for what you paid to get Dinan Stage 3 you should be making 500+ hp. I made those numbers after spending just $900 running map 1. But I doubt if Steve will refund your money. That's just my OP like it or not. Sorry. Cool thing is, you have an awesome car.

GT2 > GT3

GT2s are just incredible. I am also looking at a 996 GT2 or 996TT as my next vehicle. There is just so much you can do with that platform without building the engine.

On a racetrack, most people will be faster with a GT3 because it's an engine that is much more predictable, due to being NA. The GT2 has so much torque and power, and combined with the turbo lag it's quite tricky to drive it on a circuit, as you have to be constantly on the lookout for what the car does.

In a straight line however, the GT2 is of course a league of its own.

Took a while for him to pass, and actually I had to pull up when we approached 100, had the wifey in the front seat(plus I was getting uncomfortable at that speed, unless tracked). Anyway I know he can blown my doors off with a zero to 100 run but it was quite nice to see the 335i coupe show its muscle with a little help from Dinan!

Footnote, the GT3 is a very cool car but that paint job!!
Last time I had an "experience" on the parkway I was clocked by Fairfax's finest doing 105 in a 50. Lost my license for 6mo and best of all I spent a night in jail.

HA, being crammed in a cell with 30 other dudes and sleeping on the floor was the easy part. You should have tasted the nasty bologna sandwich they served me for dinner and then again for breakfast. That right there was enough incentive to never do it again. OP beware.

No words can describe what runs through your head and the feeling that ensues. Suprisingly after putting on a bit of a heart-felt emotional display, I think the cop felt a little sorry for me, because he didn't have my car towed and haul me off to jail right then and there; he let me go with a ticket and mandatory court appearance. Worst of all the other gut got away. GODDAMN worthless public defender!

You're lucky. They sometimes do a day for every MPH over 90.

Well technically I got 180 days w/179 suspended.

This occurred long before the county/state really started cracking down. I imagine the results would be different today.

The original post showing the time of the flash and the dyno can be found here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...is+Dinan+Stage

The same 135 w/ JB4 running map 5 that kicked my arsh a day before the dyno and then I came back and returned the favor two weeks later:

Sorry about the resolution it was taken on an iPhone and then MMS to me and then I uploaded it.

Here is a clearer example, another run(on the Cananda highway ) the driver of the 135i weigh no more than 140 lbs and his car is about 300 lbs lighter than 335is, and he had less the a half tank in his car. I had a full tank, the 335is drive weighs 260, plus had an additional person in the car taking the video 134 lbs.

Still think I am making less whp ?
1) you need to learn how to edit cause watching 1 minute of nothing is boring.
2) You lost in the 2nd race.
3) It's obvious whoever your racing can't drive.
4) Try racing someone on a real tune.... Perhaps Cobb or even PROcede.
If you still think Dinan is the fastest tune I feel sorry for you.
