Will JB+ put any unnecessary stress on the DME? When I was researching different tunes people mentioned how JB4 completely relies on DME when adjusting a/f ratios while other tunes such as cobb already had preset a/f tables... I was thinking about buying a BT cable as well, but most people have told me that the JB+ won't throw any codes, or at least shouldn't. I have no plans to set it past 75%. |

No, the CAN based communications of the DME and sensors is quite advanced and allows real time monitoring of knock and A/F. If knock events are encounted, it will pull timing on the fly to account for it. Same for A/F.
If you are under warranty i would worry about the "tuner codes," if you are out of warranty dont even worry about it. |
