I saw someone else not long ago that had the same problem. The dealer switched it out for him so it IS possible and they CAN do it. On the other hand I like wood too, but do as YOU like as it is YOUR car.
Good luck! BTW: I love my clear bra!

Well after much discussion, the dealership offered me $1500 off and a free clear bra. They were going to have the performance center switch out the trim too before I go down there, but they don't have the trim pieces in right now. They said I could get it done later if I wanted. I think I will see what it looks like before I switch it out. Who knows, I may like it better after all. Thanks to everyone for their advice!

they will not give you sh*T for compensation. If the car gets delivered and you don't want it...big deal, I bet you they'll find someone in less than 2 days to take your car with smiles!

I have been looking at it more and more and I think it may not be too bad after all. At least I have the option to switch it out later if I choose. Plus I do get some freebies so it's all good. BTW seeing all the pics of your car just makes me want to pull a Cartman and hibernate until next Thursday!!!

Hannibal, don't forget to change your sig - It still says brushed aluminum.

It really is a good deal. Plus I can still get the trim I want later for free. I think that works out pretty well. Especially since demand is so high at the only 2 BMW dealerships in my region that they aren't discounting.
