Nice yellow/orange 7-series. I plan on swinging by Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Muscat as part of my vacation this spring -- I'll definitely stop in here to check it out.

I like the skin color 7 series. Call me ignorant but do they wear those garments because of religious tradition or cultural tradition?

uniformity! no one is above/superior (at first look) physically over anyone else... in some ways, it's nice because no discrimination can be done within such society (but of course i am not ignorant that discrimination still exist no matter what) but at least at first view, it would seem that everyone is on "equal" ground, (i wish i could be on equal ground as them ![]() The garments tends to say that what's important is what's inside of each person, not how the person look on the outside... By extension since they cannot personalize/individualize themselves, so that's why they prefer to customize their car instead ... 7 series best sellers over there ... as opposed to us poor americans with the 3 series as best sellers ... ![]()

sickening the amount of money people have, and that can drop a significant amount of cash without even blinking
![]() I've been to UAE, Dubai specifically, and it really is an island of prosperity in the Middle East.

Sort of wealthy communism? Interesting. I didn't know that. In my country we are used to let's say the exact opposite in society/culture. Sometimes I condemn my country for this(egoism), but the way you explain it (& DrivenbyE30 too) I think both of those cultures have their flaws I guess.... |

The explanation of equality is correct but the individualization for what seems to be a white cloth is infinite. They come in colors too. I could go on for ages about them. I am from the UAE and wear them all the time. They are very comfy and helps beat the heat. If it is really hot outside, you can just place your sleeve on one of the air conditioning vents and you get an internal ventilation cooling system ![]() I hope this explanation is of any help. |
