And in all seriousness, if you cracked a charge pipe from running high boost (i.e., your mods CAUSED the failure), you shouldn't be trying to cover it under warranty. That's wrong.

Just sayin... unlrelated failures, fine, but you got caught trying to get something covered that may not have failed under stock conditions.

Running a JB4 on Map 1 or 5 should not produce boost high enough to crack the charge pipe. Not trying to justify what happened, just commenting.

Get an ER chargepipe with Forge Diverter Valves (yellow springs). It's a great combo and the ER CP has the factory clip for the throttle body. I run this setup and have been very happy with it.

no other dealers in Augusta, GA. Team there was extremely nice to me though, but Evo Racewerks helped me out on a great deal and will be here by monday. Now I can think of it this way.....that $105 diagnostic fee was my "thats what you get for trying to get over asshole" fee. And now I can do whatever the hell I want to my car and not have to take my parts off anymore! Just keep swimming.

What was the dealer? I have heard that United is pretty mod-friendly.

Theres only a handful to choose from, let me know if you need any help.

The N55 is notorious for cracking charge pipes but not so much the N54.

ETS is a great company for sure as there products are great quality!

To future jb4 or owerns or tune owners for that matter.. Before removing the tune delete codes with the tune and then remove.. Or scan and delete with a bt cable..

Best of luck op.. Fwiw try deleting the codes and try another dealer for luck.

Does the JB4 code clear option delete shadow codes?

I've been using a juice box for the last 2+ years and have had some major repairs without a hickup. Feel sorry for u man. Did u not clear the codes at all with the steering wheel controls? I leave mine on auto code clear.

Wow...running boost so high that the charge pipe actually broke/came loose and then pissed because the dealer found evidence of a tune and doesn't want to fix it under warranty and then charges a fee to diagnose the car - like any shop would do. I just don't follow the logic. A very unfortunate situation, but in this case, it's not the dealership at fault.

Ya I would get the ER CP.. Lots of people are getting these to avoid the cracking/popping off, etc. You can configure the ER CP to use the stock DVs, or upgrade to Forge DVs or even go with a BOV.

Yes it deletes both normal and shadow codes. If the car isn't 100% stock though when making a warranty claim the dealer will often just deny it because they can.

hmm, do you think the dealer would complain about a upgraded drop in air filter(k&n)?

stock charge pipe design changed in 2009, i've never heard of one of the old ones breaking, but i have heard of quite a few of the 2009+ ones breaking....

i think the old part number ones were tougher. old ones are two piece with a flexible tube at the inlet. newer ones are one solid piece
