You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

In 21st century America every kid is special, pretty, a genius, and still gets a trophy even if he places last.

I feel that theyre cool but to a certain extent. Where I live, its either old people who drive them, teenage bitches who know nothing about them, and then a select few who respect other BMW drivers

Hah, I've had a MB driver come up to me and compliment me... Maybe it's a euro car thing?

Not sure why, but everyone in a Mercedes C250/C300/C350 just tries to race me... One dumbass almost lost control around a curve while it was raining. I passed him up as he tried to regain control and get back on the right side of the double yellow lines...

was doing 70 on the freeway last night... in my rear view mirror I saw a guy in an e36 M3 doing some serious mph's and he was coming up REALLY quickly. After overtaking a block of traffic, he braked. hard. on the freeway. He created so much mayhem on the road that left everyone (including myself) bewildered and then darted off again. not cool at all when it comes to putting everyone else at risk for his crap driving.

+1. Although the higher end BMWs are respected. Some amazing M series around. And even a clean 335/335is will gain some respect from exotic car owners.

I get a lot of waves and thumbs up from everyone around me in my convertible, especially with the top down. Not sure why

From the BMW crowd, I usually acknowledge 135, 335, M3, and M5 owners.

Everyone else - not so much, since 95% of them aren't car enthusiasts.

That is cheap, and alot can afford 328 a month, but the question lies if the person actually carries to credit to get approved for the lease with such APR, and the down payment needed to get the 328 payment a month.

I had a guy who owns a very nicely modded M3 come up to me and say, "That's a nice Touring-- I've always wanted one." All I could think of was, "Then why don't you buy one? There's a reason why people don't buy frickin' station wagons, a reason why any day now BMW will stop importing them into the U.S. forever." But I thought that might come off as a little mean, so I just said instead, "Want to trade." And he walked about without answering.

Quick thinking, at least you know better than to use your internet persona in real life

Is a amazing thing. People that have them and take care of them love them alot more so then other people with their cars/brands. Also if you pay attention most bmw drivers are careful drivers also with following distance and those type of things. Most of them are nice too.
