OMG, you're car is a porn star! HaHa... Congrats on the sick ride. After taking a ride in Shiv's car my car just hasn't been the same. I'm counting the days until I can pull the trigger on getting this upgrade.

Very nice and congrats!
3 questions...what are those holes around the turbo inlet for? What is that one hole on the top of air intake filter for? Sorry guys...lots of holes here.
And lastly, is it ok to have the air filter located at a super hot spot like that? Won't it catch fire because of soaks oil cotton material filter + lots of heat over a long period of usages...?

The holes on the compressor housing is the anti-surge collar. Different manufacturers use different approaches. The vent on top of the air filter is for the crankcase breather hose. Also, the air filter isn't in a very hot location. No concern at all.

So how many hours of labor is expected assuming the engine does not need any attention anywhere else?

Same as installing factory twins. It's actually a little easier since the single turbo/manifold assembly is more accessible and there is only one downpipe. I'd say around 10-14hrs depending on proficiency of the installer.

Wow, LTBMW took 2-3 days to install? How come FBIS is taking so long to be completed?

From what I know, he is not only doing single turbo conversion but also doing whole suspension upgrades. Probably waiting parts to arrive, installing those took alot of times. And car has to be dialed in perfectly since FBIS isnt local. Like my car too, it needs to go see Shiv for tuning which will take couple days Im guessing.

Remember, I was one of the first to start to dive in for this project. Vishnu/FFTEC were very clear that it would take some time. I will admit the wait has been longer than expected, but I did add some suspension items in the process. My car is being tuned as we speak, so the wait shouldn't be that much longer.

can't wait to see your reviewi for the singele turbo!. I'm going to be selling my n55 within this year or two and buying a 2010 335i or 2011+ 335is with the n54 engine. I will def be getting the single turbo installed when i do. I still want to find the limits of the n55 before i sell it though. Right now it is pretty good progress 360 whp/415 torque without meth or a fmic @ just below 15 psi.
