Quick question for either BaanVelgen or JStang,

Do we have to pay any customs duty taxes if shipping to California, USA? If so, approx how much did you have to pay JStang for your BBS CH-R Set. Thanks!

Yes, you need to pay some duty taxes. You can easily calculate an estimate with this calculator.

Thanks for the reply. I've used the duty calculator to see the cost, but it seems kinda low. Not sure if I picked the right product or not. In the meantime, I'll wait for JStang to see if he can give me an estimate. thanks!

I wasn't required to pay any duties or taxes when I picked the wheels up from my local Fed Ex hub. I am in Florida for what it's worth.

We did quite some sets of the BBS CH-R wheels in full black. So we thought why not offer the BBS CH-R wheels in some custom colors. To give you some examples we have made some renderings in Red, 'M' Bleu and bronze. Finishes available are matte and gloss.

The wheels will be fully stripped and freshly powdercoated in the desired color, the rimprotector can be installed, removed or also painted.

If you are interested then please send us a PM with your color and location.

We off course also offer the wheels with tyres, just let us know and we will make you an offer.

Please note that the 'motorsport' lettering will be removed

I just joined this forum so I have yet to obtain the privledge to PM so I have a few questions for you guys before I pick up a set of these!

1) I have a e39 525i with Hubcentric adapters which help me fit aftermarket rims and I believe they both come with 15mm spacers on them. If this were the case, for an aggressive setup with not much fender work ( minor rolling ) what sizing would you suggest for a 19inch set of rims(staggered)?

2) how does the warantee work? and how long would it take to arrive to US?

3) is the pricing on the website the same as if I were to contact you via e90post?

What do you think about having the silver rim protector powdercoated in black to match the factory finish? I love the idea of the rim protector, I just wish it wasn't so noticeable. Let me know your thoughts.

The Rim protector is indeed a perfect idea and solution for small damages. Finishing it in black would look really nice. We remove them quite a lot as customers want full black wheels, but then the benefit of the rimprotector is also gone.

I won't powdercoat it though, but just give it a paint job. An easy DIY

I have heard that it is difficult to remove without damaging. Based on your experience, is this true?

That is correct, it is impossible to remove it without damaging. I would suggest to mask the wheel very carefully and the paint the rim protector.

We should have done it directly for you when you purchased them.
