I think I'm gonna reduce e85 to 4.5 gals and then increase the loop to 85 lets see coz right now if I increase loop I get 29f2.

BMS flash is free but you need the COBB handheld to install it. I am not looking for the last ounce of power so when I run E85 I add 3.25gal mixed into a full tank of 93 octane. No fueling issues & runs equal to or a little better than my 100/93 race gas mix.

Just running JB4-G5/ISO + FMIC no COBB.

Quick question any way to go back to dflt firmware instead of iso as this is frustrating me I have lost the beast in my car. Need help please. My g4 was doing better job than this.

The G5 ISO firmware is stronger than the integrated and a lot stronger than G4 firmware. So maybe its in your head or maybe there is some other issue with the car like a fuel pump issue. Rather than pulling your hair out though if you prefer the G4 just switch back to that. It's easy to do and I have no doubt someone will snatch up the G5 ISO from you quickly.

On your last log, it seems "OK" from the JPG. The fuel trims are the main issue and the only way to improve those if the car throws 29F2 codes is with the BMS flash or to lower the E85 mix. But lowering the E85 mix will result in less advance and subsequently less boost. You may also need a new intank fuel pump. Also on shifting rev it out to 6200rpm with factory turbos.

Email Terry about it and see if he can give you a good deal on a brand new one. Or try and find one used, as any COBB accessport will work. You download the newest BMS flash download to the Cobb Accessport and then load it on to your car via OBDII

I am not understanding car runs like a monster with G4 and regular G5 but with iso I can see the boost at 15-16 psi where as regular firmware I was at 17 psi. The last log was with future use b at 2 and open loop at 75 no codes but car was trimming out. If I fix the trim them the boost goes bad.

Main thing is y car will respond worst to better tune. I really wanna keep this g5 just need some things I can do as I cannot afford bms flash right now.

Another main issue is boost at low rpm. I used to hit high boost with less pedal now I need to press it all the way.

the G5 boards might not come with them anymore but did you cut the diodes on the board?

I did cut the diodes but only one side so I can solder them back. Just need to know the right settings. This firmware is available on n54 for g5 10-01-12 but the issue will be the interface settings as I restored to dflt.

Your not running 2/10/13 interface & hex 17 firmware? If you don't know the settings just reset to the default if you have been randomly changing things & leave it there. Its good enough for 90% of the users that way.

Also have no idea if partially cut diodes will cause a problem but its something to consider.

The G5 ISO uses special settings. Load the latest JB4 interface and select "G5 ISO" under settings, and "restore defaults", to load the proper default settings.

Ok this what I did I initially installed the g5 and just ran the car normal didnt touch interface. Car was running perfect hauling ass. Then read about iso. Contacted Terry he explained the process.

So I popped the hood cut one side of both diodes made sure they won't touch didn't uninstall jb4 just popped the enclosure. Connected the pc in j 4 interface settings selected g5 iso,
then restore defaults and uploaded then uploaded the hex file. There was a pop up in the end don't know what it was for as I accidentally pressed the button and it went away but the interface did say update complete. Thx.

Is the interface the new Feb 2013? If it went "pop" or did anything weird I would have done a do over, it only takes a few minutes. When in doubt always start over. Other ting are you selecting the right interface option? There are N54 & N55 options in the same interface.

Again I would check with Terry, you might be having a problem with the diodes not being fully removed.

So I updated the firmware again this time I read the pop up it said would u like to restore defaults to g5 iso and I said yes. This after all 481 blocks were uploaded. Hope fully this was the correct process.

What is "ISO", in the context of a JB4 G5? I ordered a JB4 and put it in my car. Do I have an ISO or should I ... Or what?

If u have a g5 board and u didnt cut diodes then u have regular g5 once u cut the diodes inside then u have to run iso which my car is not liking at all.
