Im not 100% sure as the receipt does not split the costs between labour and parts.
I have been tweaking and have it sounding really really good. Here are some pictures of the install in progress |

Good points:
-Doors are done really well, nice and clean. -Final product looks clean and neat. Bad points: I seriously can't believe that those people who charge silly money make fundamental mistakes. I have seen fundamental mistake on another forum member's car (done by securityalarm chap) and now on yours. I am sure that somebody will be able to pick it up. Hint is where 400/4 is installed. Make me laugh though

Whilst on my winter break, I thought I'll hunt out some more
audio upgrade options. It seems quite expensive but the labour rate is around £50 for stage 1 & 2 and £70/hour ish for the stage 3 as it uses 2 people. The parts prices are pretty spot on so they're not making profit on those bits it would seem. I was almost tempted by this. But is it me, or does the install look a bit messy? In comparison to the examples they have shown on their website. Hmmmmmm can't decide.

Its slightly more then a couple 'cheap!' subs from halfords! did you not see the first few pictures of all the equipment 'behind the scenes'
It was 2k not 2.5k Your paying for experience and quality components, You would not get a system like this in halfords!!! Sounds amazing and I love it!! |

I have also wondering about this BUT im pretty sure this MYTH only applies to AC MAINS POWER where the power is AC running at a set frequency this is where all the interference comes from (Plus its mains so can have all sorts of shit in it)
BUT in a car when the power is coming from a DC battery it will be EXTREMELY smooth and have no cause for interference! Also quality of RCA cables makes a big difference here shielding is every thing! I might be talking complete bollox but I will say i can turn the system up very very loud and it is CRYSTAL clear no distortion or weird artifacts or interference or any thing. So in my situation running power with audio signal has NO effect what so ever Last edited by russdx; 04-10-2014 at 07:17 AM.. |

Yeah I always assumed the battery it self would remove most of this as it acts as big cap?
Not sure what corrects it but in this system there is 0 interference!!! so power plus signal is irrelevant! |

Sorry Russ, come across as a bit of a cnut on my last post, i'm sure it'll sound amazing, i just couldnt ever afford to spend 2 grand on my sound system, as it is totally crap, i'm actually considering adding a halfords style sub & amp to drown out the nothingness provided by the buisness nav.

That's ok bud
It is a stupid amount of money just to spend on audio but i currently spend 4 hours a day in the car driving to and from work and I LOVE music so to me its not a waste of money. I can assure you it gets used!! Then on weekends the windows come down let the boom boom out The Mercedes just has the standard merc system which is far better then the standard BMW one lol but no bass, so i just feel like putting Celine Dion on haha. But when get into the BMW out comes all the Clubland |
