2011 335i. Not sure of build date. Had it since 30k miles currently at 41k.

I've got an issue with long cranks on a cold start that the dealership can't seem to figure out. I think they're just idiots.

Car also seems to have developed harsh shift patterns... not sure if related.

Had a battery issue, but that's probably heat (I live in AZ) related.

AC compressor had a leak.

That's about it. Still loving the car.

38K here, no real issues except an intermittent temporary CEL which goes away after I restart the car. Had it happen both stock and modded, otherwise it's been an excellent car so far

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I've had numerous issues with the car in general.

2011 N55 Early Build // CPO
Bought w/ 28k on the odo Dec 2011.

Blower motor replaced.
Radio replaced (causing battery draw, took them 6 months to find).
Numerous brake/e brake issues.
Vacuum pump replaced.
Vanos unit replaced.
3x Software Updates to fix various idle and stalling issues, CEL, limp mode.

Car is 100% stock (no ppk). 34xxx on the odo.

32,000 miles.

Tuned since 1,000 miles, I've run 4-6 gallons of E85 now for 25,000 miles with no issues whatsoever.

The light above my visor thats supposed to come on when the mirror door is slid open does not work. That's it on the whole car. hah!

I just hit 50k miles on mine this weekend. I have had it since April and it had 34k on then. It has been a good car so far, no trips to the shop. I am going to be taking it in soon as I have been having a rare startup/idling problem but I think it is just plugs. I am trying to catch it on a video, but it is rare enough than when it happens I am never ready :P

37k kms so far, bought new Oct 2011 no issues so far.

Car burnt a bit of oil during the first few months. Has not been burning since after I diy'd my 1st oil change early at around 12k kms.

Also had a low coolant warning after the first few months, topped that off and have not had one since.

N55 turbo failure at 37K

Hello everyone
I just purchased a pre-owned My2011 335 with m package. Two weeks after my purchase, heard a loud howling noise from turbo during accelerations. Still boosted fine though. Engine reduced power occurred once, but not after it reset itself. The howling noise was very loud and could be heard for quite a distance. I thought it was an air leak, but the dealer called me today saying the turbo needs to be changed. I believe it could be a stuck wastegate, but since its one unit, it cannot be fixed separately.
That and the rattle of the infamous exhaust flap, which of course can be disabled.
Kind of disappointing with the early turbo failure. BMW needs to do a better job. For a 38K car i would expect better reliability

Tuned at 500 miles and have been tuning e85 and race map 7 every day since it was available. Vanos bolts broke off at 30k miles and since they fixed that issue I have had horrible oil leaks. Besides that no issues lol

2011 135i 28 000km with JB3 since new

Zero problem regarding the engine, it doesn't take any oils at all.

They changed my rack and pinion at 3 000km. No other problem.

That's what I did with my 2011. Waited for a specific one I wanted to be returned and I got it. Be patient!

Nice to hear!

It was a $1k difference between my 10 N54 and a 11 N55 that even had 10k less miles. The only issue was the N55 was blue water metallic on oyster which I was not digging at the time but now I regret passing up on it because it was such a rare/beautiful color combo.

I bought some coolant from the dealer and mixed it myself with distilled water. The winters where I am are quite cold, so I decided to top it back up with 50/50 mix instead of just adding distilled water.

I actually had to add quite a bit to top it off. It might have been just above the low-level sensor when I picked the car up new from the dealer.

24K miles, original owner, 13K miles since PPK and no major problems, only minor issues: increase battery discharged when not driving it for 3 days and surging at idle every now and then.
