So in order to run a mix with e85, I would need a flex fuel line? Or can I just do jb4 and 30% mix of e85 plus 93? Sorry I've been searching and can't tell what's needed. I have an e85 station less than a mile away so I want to take advantage!

Just installed my wires today. It was pretty easy install. I put 5.5 gal of E85, and the rest 93. I took a few pulls so it could learn, and I was fairly impressed after that. It was not an enormous difference, but a good difference nonetheless. Definitely pulls harder.
Thanks for all the inputs!! |

No you don't need wires to mix under 50% e85 with a proper setup (map 5 jb4). According to burger tuning, simply mix 4-6 gal of 85 with 93 and set the jb4 to map 5.
I heard if you want to add significant power you can convert the car to run on full e85. The shop that installed my jb4 and FBO said that there is an engine management kit that replaces the fuel pump and comes with a sensor plus a few other things. Its supposed to adjust timing to compensate for higher ethanol levels. The kit safely allows running 100% e85 but before I spend the money on this- is there anyone else out here with this kind set up on the jb4?? Thanks |
