Haha, I was gonna say the same thing...bastard.

On a serious note, I would love to attempt it, but I hear patience and an infinite ability to forgive yourself over and over again are key elements to the task- neither virtues that I possess...

And you put that directly on top of the wood trim? Any lubricant needed like window tinting ? How susceptible to hair/dirt contamination is it during application? How durable is it during and after application?

If its similar to shadowline you can apply it and remove it to adjust and its pressure sensitive as far as adhesive so you can stretch and smooth it out. Also its for exterior as well so durability is very good.

I just DIY'ed my trim - went from wood to 3M 1080 Brushed Steel and a blue piping accent. First time doing this, but I am happy with how it came out. Sorry for the crappy iPhone photos.

Hey there bud,
I think you did a great job on the mirrors.

I did my roof in gloss Black about 4 years ago and did the side sills about 3 weeks ago

That blue piping is a nice touch. I was thinking of doing red for my convertible, but I figured it would be too busy what with the red coral interior.

Just did my grill but left the inner chrome. What do you think? I'm quite happy with the results.

Looks good. I did something similar on mine - had the rim part painted to match my car, and then left the inner slats chrome.

Wrapped my interior trims twice (first time was CF, 2nd time was gloss black), side reflectors, grilles a few times, taillights and fog lights (lights had special translucent vinyl, red tint for taillights for LCI look and black tint for fogs). No longer have the wrapped grilles and taillights though, LCI tails and black chrome grilles are too sexy.

Previous car was wrapped in matte white, never doing that again.
