I'll be in Greenville for work (never been, though it's a small town that much I know)... a few of us are flying into Raleigh, than instead of a puddle-jumper, we're just going to rent a car and make the drive instead. Trust me NO roads with corners and elevation changes could possibly lose their "zest" for me... not when you live in the Phoenix-metro area; flat, boring, 90-degree corners, etc. I miss PA roads SO much....

Touche. I visit family in Fountain Hills every so often and looking down off the peak at the flat zones is pretty hard on the eyes. Michigan was pretty similar, only difference were man eating pot holes every 5 yards. |

Me personally i despise HOT weather and would like every day to have a low of 55 and a high of 75. (that actually describes today) But due to the geographic location, with the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic, the months of 85-95 degree weather has it's place and there are plenty of things to do in that heat that you wouldn't really want to do when the highs are 70. The hottest its been this year was yesterday at 89 but that was only for an hour or so late afternoon. It typically gets warmer until it rains, then it cools off for a few days. And while 90 degrees is hot anywhere, when your sweat can't evaporate to cool you off because it's also 90% humidity, it sucks worse. But again, that's only a few months of the year. i think it's easy to take 3 HOT months in trade for 5 stellar months and 4 mediocre months over 5 snowy months. Anyhow, off to drive home from work, in the jeep with the top down, dog hanging in the wind.

Going there on vacation during the epitome of "summer" in FL probably wasn't going to leave the best impression, but hopefully at some point in life I will reside there, or have a winter abode there. |

This is the detail that would probably make it the most difficult for me to live down there.

Before that, Michigan is basically the same way, flat and hill-less. Only thing that was different was the weather and the number of bums I encountered day to day. |
