That's your problem, you went to cooper croydon, they are the epitome of con. I have had nothing but bad experience there. My girl had a car from there problem with a squeak from the rear it went in 4 times for this problem. i would send it in to be checked out again and request it be fixed free of charge. Then the next time avoid cooper and go bromley much better.

This is simple:

> You paid BMW to investigate a rattle
> BMW said it will cost x to fix
> You agreed & paid
> Rattle not fixed.

You are quoted for a job & entered a contract, if it's not done - they have broken the contract. Either get your money back or they have to sort it at their cost.

You got to remember.... you PAID £99 for them to investigate! It's not your concern they got it wrong.

Do not pay them a £ more!

Thats just an excuse they used. They were basically saying that the sound of pouring rain covered the crackling noise of the roof so they couldnt hear it leading the technicians to think its fixed. I just wonder if they even bothered checking.

Cooper BMW don't know what they doing. Had so much trouble with them. They even take your car for a spin and rag the fack out of it. Drive to redhill or something, so much better!

plus one on coopers being shite

Vines - Redhill
Stephen James - Bromley

top outfits both. You are stuck tho as you've paid this numpty dealership. Lessons learnt for next time.

I would feel conned if I paid £350 and the car was returned in the same state, what did they do after you paid the £99 diagnostic fee then ? plonkers.

Be calm/polite and don't walk away from the dealership until they've fixed the problem. If no luck, put a formal complaint in writing and get in touch with BMW helpdesk. How old is the car out of interest?

I missed the part that you paid for an initial diagnosis and then further work, based on that diagnosis.

If that's the case then I agree with the other posters: kick up a fuss.
