Apparently Spa won't be on the 2028 and 2030 F1 calender.
So the best and most beautiful track on the calender is demoted to a rotating schedule.... WTF are they thinking?!?

I guess we should enjoy it until then, it's a shame since it's so historic and so many battles won and lost there.

Watching bits of film on the net and Arctic Convoy looks interesting, i think it's about the ill fated PQ17 convoy merchant ships heading to ruski land with war equipment and if i'm not mistaken Jeremy Clarksons dad was a serving seaman on thay convoy.

Oh no, the first #FerrariThings of the new year might be happening
I whole heartedly agreed with modifying the front suspension. But I don't know about doing the rear Ferrari 677: The few benefits of the rear push-rod at the expense of compliance: The Ferrari SF-24 utilized a pull-rod rear suspension in 2024, prioritizing airflow efficiency over the potential benefits of a push-rod design. However, rumors suggest Ferrari may implement changes to the rear suspension with the 677 project. “The transition to a push-rod suspension at the rear is an advantage, but it is not as clear as you might think.” “The benefit is a cleaner flow that flows backwards, since the arrangement of the internal components is higher and allows you to streamline the lower area.” Ferrari achieved significant compromises with the SF-24 by rearranging internal components, which helped streamline the lower airflow, even with a pull-rod design. Mercedes experienced challenges in 2024 after switching to a push-rod rear suspension on the W15, highlighting the complexity of such changes. “In the evaluations carried out in the factory last season, there was no great advantage in abandoning the pull-rod at the rear to justify a greater weight and a lower compliance.” Ferrari’s suspension design is closely tied to the operation of the car’s floor. Achieving compliance and rigidity in the suspension is crucial for maintaining an effective aerodynamic map and improving traction. “Everything is linked to the operation of the bottom, which to work in its correct window depends and not a little on the suspension at the rear.” “It is always necessary to find a good compromise between compliance and suspension rigidity, in order to obtain good bottom dynamics.” While Ferrari is expected to make improvements to the rear suspension for the 677 project, they are unlikely to make radical changes to the overall design. “That is why we do not expect a radical change, neither at the level of scheme nor at the level of kinematics. We are more likely to think that several precautions have arrived to vary both areas that concern the rear suspension.” Vasseur indicated that 99% of the Ferrari SF-24 components will be updated for 2025, with any modifications aimed at maximizing the performance of the floor and overall aerodynamic package. |
