1. No, it does no void your warrenty.

2. IF your engine blows up and BMW traces it to the exaust then you are screwed. (chances of this.. very rare)

3. I have had it for 4 months now and not one problem. Plus, my car feels faster in the higher rpms and the throttle is far more responsive.

Enjoy having the sound that will turn heads =)

you have to weigh the risks of whether this will void your warranty or not... the chances are slim but there is STILL a chance... i have it because i figured the chances that my engine has a problem because of the missing muffler is low...ANY MOD no matter how small can void your warranty for that part of the car (or anything else that is linked to) .... if you want to be 100% safe the answer is DONT MOD!

man don't worry, you can put it back on, i have had my Ikon on for a long time i took it in to bmw and they said "sounds nice! really like it" they shouldn't have a problem with that kinda stuff... as small as this is

One question about this mod. Has anyone noticed reduced gas millage? Im not sure if its just me but i seem to be getting a little bit less gas millage.

100% reversible... it had to be or else i'd be screwed if i returned my leased car back without a muffler.

heh i had reduced gas mileage in the first 2 weeks of getting the mod because i kept revving the engine just for kicks and i kept going into manual mode on my steptronic .... if you put it in D or drive like u usually do on your manual tranny, it shouldnt give you less gas mileage.

Of course, it's because the pipe is more free flowing. But If you have better air flow your car should be less gas to push your car. Anyone have an intake? I didn't notice any decrease in MPG.

im to lazy to read all 20pages but from what i understand is i can just to some local muffler shop and tell them to take it out? and add a pipe of course..let me know if this is right before i do something stupid lol

No, You just need to place a muffler tip under your pillow before you go to sleep. Then when you wake up, the muffler fairy will have installed your brand new exhaust piping.

Just read page 1. All the info is there.
